Great Product!
I have super dry lips. I've been looking into different lip balms and I had heard about Kiehl's a while ago and decided to finally try it out. It's great! First, I received it a week before it was expected, which was awesome. I immediately opened it and tried it out and I started to notice a difference within a day or two. It's heavy for a lip balm but that goes away pretty soon after applying it. The only complaint is that I don't like the smell, or the taste if my tongue happens to touch my lips, but it's not that big of a deal. Still deserves 5 stars and I highly recommend trying it out.

I don't get it
I don't get it, I really don't. I've seen so many good reviews for this product, that being a lip balm junkie, I had to try it, and I can't understand why it's getting such rave reviews.
The first thing I noticed was the applicator...Think toothpaste tube. You have to squeeze it out onto your finger or a tiny bit onto your lip then smear it around with your finger. Talk about inconvenient.
Second thing I noticed was the petroleum taste and feel. All the people who love the "feel" of this product would be just as suited with a tub of vaseline for a fraction of the price.
Even though I was turned off from the beginning, I decided to keep using it regularly for a week - I had a cold and my lips were more dry than normal. This did not help AT ALL. It soothed my lips as soon as it went on, but it did nothing to soften them over time. I finally broke down and used some blistex (the liquid one with the roller ball) and instantly my lips were less dry and they stayed that way all night.
I'll never buy this product again and I'll certainly think twice about purchasing any other kiehls products.

Just petroleum jelly...
No different then any other "brand" that puts out petroleum jelly. I have a jar of another name brand petroleum jelly on my bedside table which is much cheaper and sold in drug stores. For everything else I'm a Kiehl's fan, but not on this one, sorry!

Nothing Special
I feel bad to give a negative review but this lip balm is basically Vaseline. It's temporary and doesn't absorb into your lips and you constantly have to reapply.

Disappointed
I found this lip balm to be no better than vaseiline and it does not seem to last long on my constantly chapped lips.

Superior and cheap!
Ok so I know it's rare that superior and cheap go in the same sentence, but it is true in this instance. I had a bad habit of picking my upper lip as a young child, so much so that I picked the front part raw. For over a decade, I have dealt with this small part of my lip peeling and never healing correctly. I honestly believed that I would just have to deal with this problem I created for myself the rest of my life. And then one day while at Nordstrom Rack I came across this lip balm and decided to give it a try. This product has helped my lips retain moisture, and I have not had that same peeling problem that I have had in the past. I wish I could post before and after pictures. Kiehl's has made a great product once again! Side note: I have used many lip products in the past many of which resulted in my lips drying out quickly.
