Off the Shoulder Chiffon A-Line Gown

I bought this for a wedding but unfortunately I will not be able to wear it. If you wear the sleeves off the shoulder as intended, you cannot lift your arms (no way you would be able to dance) and the material in back folds outward because it seems like the dress was designed to have the sleeves be farther up on the arms/shoulders (but they do not stay farther up and look weird if you try to make them hang on your shoulders a little bit). Waste of money, returning this dress.

I recently purchased this dress to wear as the mother of the bride, and while it was beautiful, it wasn't quite what I was looking for. The dress itself is pretty, the fabric is nice, and the color was just as pictured. It had a flattering fit, and the overall quality was excellent, as expected from Nordstrom. However, the style ended up feeling more suited to a bridesmaid than a mother of the bride. It had a youthful, modern vibe that didn’t quite align with the more traditional, sophisticated look I was aiming for as the mother of the bride. While it was definitely pretty, it just wasn’t the elegance I was hoping for. In the end, I had to return the dress and find something that better suited my vision for the wedding.
