Les Papillons Diana Eye Trio Eyeshadow Palette

Well, I read the reviews and knew there wouldn't be much pigment but I don't wear very bold color and am pale so decided to go for it. The mint green looked gorgeous on the models and it was the color for which I purchased the palette. Neither the pink nor taupe showed up under any methods I tried. The mint green could be built up somewhat but then it had fall out and even then, it just appeared like a translucent sort of iridescence and not the gorgeous sealike opaqueness on the models. It was indistinguishable from several other shimmery shades I own on the lid sadly. I would not recommend spending money on this though it looks beautiful in the palette!

I had high hopes for this palette. I love the other one with the purple! This one missed the mark somewhat. I have hazel eyes and this combo did not do anything for my eyes or fair skin. I get compliments all the time on the purple palette. The green is way too sheer to produce any slight effect. This one was returned with regrets!

This is very subtle but I absolutely love it as pigmented eyeshadows don’t suit my very fair complexion. The formula is excellent with zero fallout and on my eyelids it is really long lasting. It has not creased on me and looked very smooth and ethereal. I apply them both with a finger for more colour payout and with brush when I want something super subtle and both methods work well.

Luckily I got this on sale on SpaceNK and I'm really pleased I did. The trio is gorgeous, and despite buying it for the green shade, I ended up liking the neutral brown shade the most. The pink has almost no pigment, all you get is sparkle, whether you apply it with a brush or your finger. The green has slightly more pigment, and if you build it up, the colour is pretty, but it still is nearly translucent. Those two shades are very hard to build up, even on my fair skin. The neutral shade has the most pigment that you can actually see, and a subtle shimmer to it. Not sparkly or glittery, just a subtle light shimmer that adds something to your eyes. I'm glad I didn't get it at full price, as the shades aren't very pigmented. But if you want a sheer (very sheer) wash of colour on your lids, a bit of shimmer for pretty, soft daytime looks, and gorgeous packaging, you'll probably enjoy this.
