LES 4 OMBRES TWEED Limited Edition Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow Palette

Comparing here with Tom Ford 04 Suspicion. Bottom swatches are Chanel. Just ridiculous. I have had both on each eye the whole day and Chanel is just sad and drab by the 5-hour mark. Tom Ford is still going strong. This Tweed palette has No pigmentation. Very powdery. No pink color in sight when worn on the eyes. All cool-tone muddy browns. I am seriously disappointed.

I have TF palettes and many others. At 53, my eyes need more brightening, more natural looks that aren’t stark or glitter bombs. As I head toward retirement, I’m looking to pare down my collection to the essentials—the must haves for all occasions. We plan to travel extensively (and sell all possessions), so whatever I hang onto must perform, make me look magnificent, and be travel friendly (light weight). I purchased all but the purple one of this collection and am fairly certain they will make the final cut. Gorgeous palettes worth your attention.

I was So excited when I saw this launch-I'm a big Chanel fan and since I lived in Paris I really enjoy the savoir faire and the artistry that goes in each of the maisons d'art-the work of these artisans is highlighted each year in the Métiers D'Art show. So to see the beautiful palettes not only with the shadows in the 'tweed texture' but the slipcovers in the Maison Lesage (the tweed makers and embroiders) tweed, it made my heart skip a beat. These are the best palettes that Chanel has released recently! They formula is beautiful, they have a multi faceted satin finish. The application is beginner friendly-and the effect is just as beautiful and flattering as the color story. I went ahead and purchased the second two shades first(I purchased on the Chanel site but did want to leave a review here) Just to respond to the woman made the comparison the TF Suspicion Quad-I adore Tom Ford quads as well. I have several, as well as two of the new ones in the Crème formula. It is a different finish and effect so to me it's like comparing apples and oranges per se. I would definitely use the TF shadow primer (the newer version is just as spectacular) I use it before applying any shadow. If you do have the Emotionproof TF liners-or those who have the Chanel stylo longwear liners(I believe that version is waterproof) I would recommend those as a compliment.

I love Chanel, and I have several of their palettes. I don't love them all equally, but this new formulation is my favorite. I appreciate eyeshadows that allow me to build the intensity and blend seamlessly without much effort. I find this new formula does that and a lot more. The color stories are versatile, and they look elegant. I first bought number four, thinking I would only buy one, as it is the most neutral for every day, but I ended up loving it so much that I returned to purchase number 1. I have light brown eyes with golden flecks, and the number one really did a number. It took me a few minutes to create a look that received so many compliments. I think these shadows get bad reviews from people who enjoy a much heavier look regarding eye makeup. I'm not too fond of a heavy makeup look, and I aim to enhance what I have and not get attention based on the designs I create. For me, that is not elegant. I am getting close to fifty, and although I look younger than my age, my eyes appreciate more hydrating ingredients, and I find the tweed formula to be satiny in texture and non-drying. I am very tempted to buy the remaining two color stories. I will take one star off since the price increase is substantial. I like the tweed pouch and all, but at the end of the day, I bought it for the colors and texture and not so much for the new embossing and pouch, which will not stay or use.
