Legend Glove

Long-time BlackDiamond customer. I've been happy with BD products in the past but not this one. I've had these for one season and wore them maybe 6 days on the slopes; basic use at a small midwest hill. They are NOT waterproof. Using them I suspected they were letting noticeable water through but wasn't 100% sure it wasn't just my imagination. In preparation for this season I just tested them by filling a pot with water, putting the gloves on, then placing my fingers (just my fingers; not even most of my hand mind you) in the water. Within 60 seconds I could feel moisture coming through and within a couple minutes there was as much water inside the glove as outside. It wasn't just a rogue rip somewhere either as the leaking was uniform on all fingers on both hands. I don't know what they actually put in these gloves but it's not the GoreTex I've used countless times in the past. Perhaps BD's overseas operations ran out of GoreTex and figured I wouldn't notice? I give 2 starts instead of one as these gloves are shockingly warm (until they get wet that is) and surprisingly dexterous.
