Double Breasted Longline Wool Blend Coat

For my tall ladies — this coat is for you! I’m 5’8”, 36DD, 184 lbs, with an athletic build, for reference. I ordered a size 14, but I normally wear a 10–12 depending on the fit and look I’m going for. The length is amazing; it comes almost to my ankles, which is so hard to find. I love a coat that I can dress down and still look chic, and this one does exactly that. The fit, style, and overall look are beautiful. It’s versatile enough to elevate any outfit while still being comfortable and effortless.

This coat is absolutely beautiful. I originally saw it in the anniversary sale brochure that was mailed to my house. And it was then that I decided I had to go to Nordstrom‘s in person in order to purchase the coat. When I got there. There were only two sizes in the entire store, a two and a four. So I went to buy it online. And I couldn’t find the color I liked. So I kept checking until the Pinot Noir color showed up and purchased it. It was really beautiful, and I was happy with it except for the length, it looked like it was midcalf on the model in the brochure, but it came past my ankles on me. So in the end, I kept the coat and brought it in for alterations. The seamstress had to take up 8 inches to make it mid calf. That’s how long it was. Given my height, I’m assuming that the model who wore the coat in the brochure was 5‘11inches. So buyer beware. If you are a petite person like me and don’t have alteration benefits with Nordstrom be aware that you are going to have to have this coat altered. For reference I am 5‘3“.

How tall is the model in the photos?? I am 5’7 and the coat comes down to my ankles. It’s much longer than pictured in the photos.

This is a beautiful, classic wool coat. I purchased it in Navy and it is beautiful. I normally purchase S/M tops, usually 6-8. I always opt for an 8 in a coat to accommodate sweaters and such. I ended up exchanging my original 8 for a 10, then a 10 for the 12. I do have broad shoulders, 34D, size 8 pants, and am 5’7”. The 12 gives me the shoulder room I like, but is oversized in the body which isn’t too bad. I like the maxi length, I find it very elegant.

This is such a beautiful, well-made coat. LRL does not disappoint. Husband even complimented it. Except that it run slightly large. 5’9.5” tall, 160 lbs. I returned the Size 10 and ordered Size 8. Can hardly wait to strut it this fall/winter. Such a steal for the sale price! It’s a must for the closet.

Arms are WAY too long, coat is not well-lined.
