Very substantial coat
This coat is a deep tan color, the fabric has some heft to it, and it is fully lined. The buttons are a nice tortoise shell and the leather piping makes it distinctive. I am 5'4", 110# and the small was too big on me in the torso area (even with a sweater on), so I'm exchanging it for an extra small. The length was good for me, because I like my work coats to cover my knees.

Runs big expect it before you get this!
My actual size in Ralph L. was XS so i got the size of XS but unfortunately it runs big especially on the sleeves and chest,. So disappointed with the size.

Timeless and Elegant
When my original choice for a trench coat sold out, I turned to a Nordstrom stylist for advice. She helped me select the Lauren. It arrived today, and I am happier than ever with this choice. I bought the sand color, in size M. I'm between 8 and 10 and it fit perfectly. The color is deep and lovely. The trim elevates the coat and is a great match for my brown Coach tote. The trench is very well made, with hidden inner buttons and hooks on the collar to keep out the elements. My only note is the sleeves are a shade long, but that's me not the coat, and can be easily fixed in alterations.

Beautiful coat but cheaply made
I was so disappointed when I received this trench, I thought Ralph Lauren made slightly better quality coats. When I unbottoned the coat to try on, almost all of the buttons fell off. Even on sale I paid over $100 so I would expect a little bit better quality but sadly that wasn’t the case. I returned it. I also sized down and it fit perfectly.
