Balmacaan Hooded Raincoat

This is a beautiful raincoat with a detachable hood. I am 5'3", 125lb, and typically wear xs, or sizes 2 and 4 (depending on item and designer). The xs fit perfect, except it was too tight in shoulder area. I then ordered a small and the shoulder area fit right. Even though I liked the overall look better of the xs, I am keeping the small. It will allow bulkier items to be worn underneath. This is a classic Ralph Lauren piece! Don't miss out on the anniversary price. Now, I just need it to rain, so I can wear this beauty.

Beautiful raincoat, simple lines, not fussy, however the sizing and fit is off for me. Normally a medium, I sized up to a large based on reviews; roomy enough to wear a sweater, sleeves roomy and long enough. The deal breaker is the coat is bottom-wide, smaller across the chest area (I'm not busty) and wider at the bottom part. I'm tall , average weight, long-limbed. It hangs longer than shown on the model, nearly at my knees. Coat has both medium and large size aspects. Navy was sold out and so got New Tan, dark gold. Color is ok but not flattering on me. Lovely fabric, a bit stiff that should soften with wear. Is not a swing coat at all, has straight lines and may hug your behind as you walk, has a rear vent. Hope RL reads these comments and corrects the tailoring issues. I am usually an easy fit w/coats and went with another style.
