Nice, subtle, grown up
I love anything vanilla scented. I came across the Laura Mercier Vanille Gourmande while shopping with girlfriends in Las Vegas. I immediately liked the subtlety of the fragrance and how it stays in the background...it doesn't arrive before me, nor does it linger as I depart. Of course, I use a very light spritz of scent unlike some women and men who seem to saturate their person in perfume/cologne and sicken all creatures they come in contact with on their way. Anyway, this is a lovely accent when used appropriately and as I use vanilla scented soaps and lotions, this just is an additional note in my daily routine that is personal to me and only discernible by myself.

Too sweet
Smells like pink sugar and straight up vanilla. Not flattering.

Wonderful fragrance
I have been wearing this fragrance for years and absolutely love it! I get stopped all the time and asked what fragrance I'm wearing . Great for both day and nighttime use. An elegant sophisticated scent that my husband adores .

Delightful
I recently bought this and get compliments on it more than almost any other perfume I have. It's a beautiful vanilla smell that doesn't smell fake. It's strong enough to last for a long time but it's not overpowering. It's a perfect summer fragrance for me.

FAVORITE PERFUME EVER
I love vanilla scents! A lot of the other ones I've tried were paired with florals like jasmine or lavender or musks, which is not my thing. This perfume is the vanilla I was looking for! It is very sweet, but not sugary like a hand soap or other lower-priced vanilla perfumes. It warms beautifully on the skin to a mature, "grown-up" scent. I'm very disappointed the matching body products were discontinued, but this perfume is great on its own!

All time favorite
Every time I wear this I get compliments. It is the best vanilla scent out there. Not too sweet and not too musky.

Love this fragrance!
I have been wearing laura mercier body and bath and the cologne for a long time, and I always get complimented when wearing them. It is a refreshing, clean, not an overpowering, smell.
