Ultra-Blur 24-Hour Hydrating Setting Spray

I can’t use this product even I have dry skin and usually love dewy setting spray (Shu Uemura dewy version, Hourglass, and Charlotte Tilbury, One Size Powder Melting Glass Setting Spray) but this one is SUPER dewy even I use only 1 layer with the lightest hand and spraying as far as possible. It emphasizes all my flaws including my eye bags that I already camouflaged them with color correctors, concealer and powder (they disappeared as long as I don’t smile), this setting spray not only made them to come back (so obvious even I don’t smile) also emphasizes them. I still gave it 2 stars because of its packaging and atomizer that provided the finest mist that I never seen. Also it does what it says, just to an extreme extent that’s only suitable for perfect skin. It’s just too glassy, too reflective.

The Laura Mercier Translucent Hydrating Setting Spray Ultra-Blur has quickly become a staple in my routine. If you love a fresh, hydrated finish but still want your makeup to stay put, this really delivers. The mist is incredibly fine, so it never disturbs your makeup or leaves heavy droplets on the skin. It instantly takes away any powdery look and gives that soft-focus, slightly blurred finish without looking overly dewy or shiny. Skin just looks smoother, more even, and naturally radiant. What I really appreciate is how comfortable it feels throughout the day. It adds a boost of hydration without becoming sticky, and it layers beautifully over both light and fuller coverage makeup. My makeup definitely lasts longer, but still looks like skin rather than feeling “set in place.” Overall, a gorgeous everyday setting spray that gives a polished, skin-like finish with just the right amount of blur and hydration.

This is an amazing hydrating setting spray. I was hesitant to purchase due to the cost however for the finish alone which is hydrating without the excessively “dewy” look that some setting sprays offer. The biggest win for this product is the spray top which gives you a fine mist for a flawless application everytime. This beats out this Charlotte Tilbury and many other high end setting sprays in my humble opinion on both the formula and spray applicator.

I really enjoy this setting spray, and as I have advanced in years it is a must-have step in my makeup routine if I want my products to stay fresh throughout the day. The skincare-infused formula helps to lock in hydration while also improving the wear time of my makeup. The ultra-fine mist feels incredibly lightweight on the skin and doesn't leave my face feeling wet, sticky or tight. I think it gives a natural blurring effect to the complexion. Although, it is more expensive, I think it is worth it and will definitely repurchase.
