What it is: A weightless, high-impact, statement-making lipstick with a satin finish.
What it does: Rouge Essentiel fuses high-impact color with weightless decadence for the ultimate sensation. From the sleek, high-gloss metallic case, a custom-curved bullet emerges sculpted to envelop lips and deliver intense color in one silky swipe. Infused with Mediterranean sea-algae extract, this lipstick moisturizes and smoothes skin's appearance to create a perfected canvas for optimum color laydown. Micronized coated pigments provide strong color intensity for uniform color release. The silky crème formula lasts for up to six hours without bleeding, feathering, drying, fading or settling into lines.
How to use: Using even pressure, press the bullet to both the upper and lower lips. To refresh, press the lips together. For a more defined look, line your lips with a complementary shade of lip liner before or after lipstick application.

Not a great color
I used to buy a LM lipstick called Pink Champange that was discontinued. I have been trying to find a similar shade. This one has a weird pink color. I would not call it nude. Very disappointing when you pay over $20 for a lipstick.

Wanted to like but couldn't find a shade
I tried 3 different shades: A La Rose, Nude Nouveau, and Nu Prefere and they all turned bright, matte, weird, Grandma pink on me. Kind of flat looking, in shades you see on the older church ladies (yikes). Had more luck w LM Sheer Lip Colour in Bare Lips

A great pinky nude lippie. I really like the shade Nu Prefere, I was worried that this shade would be too pale on my skin tone. Caramel with olive undertones. With a brown lip liner or even a darker pink shade this is great color for the spring and summer to complaints all of my bright and floral looks.

A La Rose is the most beautiful pink lipstick I have ever found! I wear this alone or layer this shade with a nude lipstick, a light pink gloss , or a rosy or rose-copper lip liner for a beautiful natural pink lip. This shade is so versatile and pretty. It is a medium dark shade, so there is plenty of stand-alone color. The moisture quality also also good. There is a nice creamy lightweight (not sticky) feel.

A creamy and beautiful lipstick
What a relief, both of my favorite Nars lip products/shades have been discontinued, and I was on the hunt for the perfect mauve/pink to replace them. I am so happy that I discovered this Laura Mercier lipstick. It was important to me that the formula was smooth and nourishing, and that’s exactly what this is. It goes on really smoothly and as far as I can tell lasts on the lips pretty well. The mauve shade is a beautiful color that I think would work well on many skin tones. So happy to find this product!
