Real Flawless Feather Matte Powder Foundation

New formula does not give any coverage like the old formula. Old formula would cover all my redness and dark sport with no need of any lightweight tinted moisturizer. Please Laura Mercier bring the old formula back . Now I’m looking for a different brand powder that can give me the same coverage

I purchased this powder foundation after finding out the previous version was discontinued—something I was already disappointed about. I made my purchase on 9/6/2025, hoping this new formula would live up to the original. But here I am, just five weeks later, and I already need to buy another one. There’s barely any product in this new packaging! I only apply it once in the morning and almost never reapply throughout the day, so I was shocked at how quickly I ran out. It’s honestly frustrating. If I’m spending this much, I expect it to last more than a month. At this rate, I’ll be replacing it every six weeks—which just isn’t worth it. Very disappointed.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Very disappointed the smooth finish foundation powder was discontinued as it has been my holy grail for over 10 years. This new product is okay but I’m not excited about it. The compact design is awkward to open without the sponge flying out, so it constantly feels like the compact is going to fumble out of my hands and drop on the floor. Coverage is good but can easily look powdery and needs a lot of buffing afterwards. However, I don’t find the shade matching from the smooth finish to the feather matte to be accurate. I was using 1N2 before; 1C was suggested for my new shade, but I find it to be way too pink for my fair skin and it somehow makes me look very washed out. I’m hoping to exchange the 1C for 1N in hopes it’s a better match otherwise I’ll be on the hunt for a new powder foundation. Huge bummer to have such a great product to be discontinued and to be let down by the replacement.
