What it is: An oil-free, loose powder foundation that delivers sheer-to-medium coverage and a radiant finish with its good-for-skin minerals.

What it does: The fine-milled loose powder foundation creates a natural, healthy, youthful glow. Formulated with natural elements including 15 active amino acids, it helps fight the appearance of aging. Pearlescent powders and mica give a soft-focus effect for a smooth, luminous look. Long-wearing and water-resistant, it offers the coverage of a foundation with the blendability and easy application of a loose powder.
How to use: Using a blending brush, gently pick up the product and tap off excess. Dust over your face in a circular motion, working the product into your skin for a healthy, even glow. Continue layering until desired coverage is achieved. For best results, use after your preferred foundation primer.
Pro tips: For the most flawless, natural look, Laura says it's key to avoid over-applying foundation to the middle of the face—where too much formula can accentuate lines and other imperfections. With liquid, crème or powder, she recommends starting at the outer portion of the face and working inward toward the nose. Focus on one area at a time and be sure to blend well. Avoid excess application around eyes or the contours of the face. Repeat application until desired coverage is achieved.

Excellent foundation
Used to use bare minerals powder foundation but always felt like it was gone by the end of the day and seemed to dry my skin out sometimes. Wasn't a fan of the 'pearliness' of the normal or flatness of the matte version.
LM mineral powder has none of these issues! Great coverage, stays on all day long, and doesn't affect the balance of oils on my skin. I'm so glad I made the switch! It's well worth the price. I've been using this product for over a year now and haven't used anything else before or since that I like as much.
Tender rose is perfect for the pale girls. It doesn't have any significant pink undertones as the name might suggest. The real sand color was too yellow for me, so I tried this and it's perfect.

Didn't Like This Powder
I have several Laura Mercier products, so I thought that the face powder would be as good; I was disappointed. I'm almost 70, but look like I'm in my fifties with very few wrinkles and lines, but this powder managed to bring out every line and every wrinkle that I have. The color was great, but it was "age-enhancing" for me. I moisturize liberally because I have very dry skin, and I do have a face powder that just does NOT show up wrinkles and lines, but the shade seems to go orange-ish on me even though I use the lightest shade available. I bought the Tender Rose shade, and it didn't become orange on me, but oh, those wrinkles and lines! I don't recommend this product for anyone who is trying to de-emphasize their age. It's for the younger set.

1 out of 2 ain't bad
I wanted a good mineral foundation that has good coverage that doesn't make my pores look like you could drive a truck through them. Well, I got the good coverage but I don't like the way this product sits on your skin instead of blending in (and yes, I know how to apply mineral powder properly). It shows every nook, cranny, line and pore on my face. I miss Bobbie Brown's mineral powder. Why did they have to discontinue? I'll be returning this item. So close, Laura Mercier! So, close!

The BEST mineral foundation EVER!!
I have tried a multitude of mineral foundations, with little success. Some made my skin look flaky; others left a definitely look of powder on my face no matter how carefully I buffed it in. Finding the right color has also been a serious challenge as I have deceptively very fair skin despite my naturally very dark hair and nearly black brown eyes.
Enter Laura Mercier mineral powder in Rich Vanilla and I'm in seventh heaven! This stuff matches my coloring to perfection; it's not too pink; it's not porcelain, which to me appears to mean no color at all, just white powder; and it's not all yellow, which is not my natural skin color either. It's simply perfect. And my skin absolutely loves it! My skin is happy, it doesn't flake, the coverage is light and natural, but still covers any flaws. It works even better when worn over the Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation Primer, which provides a perfect palette for the mineral foundation and other makeup.
I love this stuff and highly recommend both the mineral powder and the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation Primer to anyone who wants to a beautiful mineral powder and have it last all day!

mineral powder
needed something special for my daughter's wedding that would both cover and not aggravate my rosacea skin condition. this product was recommended by a friend and i just love it! Perfect coverage and my skin looked great!

Love, Love, Love!
Fabulous coverage and texture. Super light feel. Easy application. And I truly feel like it is good for my skin (no breakouts and non-drying). Easy to wash off with just mild cleanser. Lasts for a 12 hour day with no touch ups. Great on its own for a casual look but more dramatic with primer underneath. I am super picky and have sensitive skin and like a product that looks natural but actually provides a good amount of coverage.
