Matte Eye Color

All Laura Mercier eye shadows are perfect for mature eyes. I am 69 and appreciate fine milled powder that is highly pigmented. This eliminates having to pile on the powder, which is a mature skin enemy, and with one stroke , get lovely coverage and blend ability. Highly recommend this for mature ladies.

I bought this eye shadow in Cashmere and just love it. It has a rich, velvety density that goes on smoothly, blends like a dream, and lasts all day. The Cashmere color looks great on my medium toned, ruddy skin and gray eyes. It's a versatile nude, almost mauve color that can be worn alone or as part of a contoured look. I love how easy it goes on. The neutral tone is opaque yet blendable, it only takes seconds to apply and pays off by upping the polish factor on my day look. Highly recommended. I will definitely go back for additional shades.

This shadow used to be a different formula. And with that formula, you could use all the colors wet or dry. I would use Deep Night as a wet liner, and it wouldn't budge until I washed it off. I would also use a dry brush to go over the wet applied line and sort of "set" it in a soft focus. It was hands-down the best eyeliner color I'd ever found. Not as harsh as black, but intense and very deeply pigmented, particularly with the wet application. Now, the powders don't work wet anymore as there are different colors that are made specifically to be gel or cream liners. Frankly if a great product is reformulated, it should at least retain it's dual usages and not change for the worse. Worse meaning lack of versatility. The formula is ok now, it's not at all a bad shadow. But it was better before.

Love the texture and smoothness of this eyeshadow and the way it looks on my skin. I bought Morning Dew which is a perfect color me, soft, pale, very close to my skin tone but better. It is neither too pink or too yellow for my pale blue-based but leaning toward neutral complexion. I will buy more of these shadows.
