Extreme Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette

I was very disappointed when I received this eyeshadow pallet. I love Laura Mercier cosmetics, but the colors shown online are not even close to what they really look like. I know better, that colors online are very deceiving, but the colors advertised looked so rich and vivid, that I decided to take a chance. I am only giving 1 star, not because the quality of the product, but rather because of the misrepresentation of the color. I highly suggest you see them in person before you buy.

The store I saw the palette collection at was sold out and the display was under a glass case so there was no chance to test the product. The sales consultant ordered mine and it was delivered on time. The plus for the shadows: nice collection of neutrals and the mattes having staying power, especially with a eye makeup primer. The lilac colors are so pretty and i was excited to use them but they are hard to apply ( just can't load my MAC brush) and they flake off even as you are applying them. If you buy from a store that has a sample, make sure you get someone to show you how to get those sateen colors to stay on your brush and stay on your eyes! I use an excellent primer and a quality clean brush and it still difficult. The colors are good though and it is very convenient for travel.

First let me tell you that I just can't just write about my most recent purchase, but all of my purchases on line or at the store. I have been shopping Nordstrom since I was old enough to drive. (I'm 65 now)The products I have ordered have always come to my home promptly and in perfect condition. My most recent purchase is a line of Laura Mercier products that I have used for years. I don't buy these anywhere else. This palette is perfect...it applies beautifully , the colors are accurate and don't change on my lid, they are so neutral that they all work perfectly with my dark brown eyes and brown hair. The size of the container makes it easy to travel with. Thank you Nordstrom for top service and customer care.

I’ve been a Laura Mercier customer for a few years now and I’m familiar with the product line. This web image completely distorts what the eye shadows actually look like. I was expecting rich fall tones in this palette, but instead the colors are very muted and dull. Very disappointed. I’ll still use the pallete, because I am I need of new eyeshadows, but I am super disappointed in what I imagined I was getting versus what I actually recieved.
