3 3/16" real heel height. Arch is very narrow.
1) Disappointed that the Shoe Buyer for Nordstrom cannot tell a women's heel height... not by sight & not even by measurement. We are consumers, and need to know how high the heel of our foot would be off the floor! Instead the Brand (and Nordstrom as they do not correct the weird info given by the Brand) uses a production spec. ie- where the heel part is glued to the based on the under side. 100% irrelevant to the consumer.
2) Using a measuring tape, the heel (where your foot heel meets the heel of the shoe) is 3 3/16". On the backside, and on the top of shoe... where your heel of your foot rests. Why that measurement is not done for the "product description" I have no idea. (other than to save time)
3) The shoe itself is very narrow under the arch. No one expects a heel to have "arch support" like a running shoe adds a bump to fill in the arch. BUT, there should be enough of the SHOE under the arch, so that your arch touches something other than air. I'm guessing designers are getting cheap, as this section of the shoe seems to get VERY narrow now in many brands.
2" is the narrowest measurement across the arch. Is there any adult woman whose foot is only 2" wide?
I really wanted to like these shoes. It would have been a whole different choice to purchase if the measurement had been correct & that the brand was not skimping on materials. Now it's a drive back to the store to return.
NOTE: the width of the shoe was narrow (in construction) under the arch. But the forefoot was true to size for a 7M.
