Lash Curl Finisher

I realise a lot of these reviews are from people who have received this product as a gift so here’s an honest review from a regular customer. I was truly hoping that this product would become a stable in my makeup bag to compliment a no makeup makeup look. Unfortunately I find it to be heavy on the lashes causing any curl drops within moments and after hours, my lashes clump together. The concept its great but it doesn’t work for me.

I bought this product expecting it would help keep my lashes curled, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. When applied, it feels sticky and doesn’t dry properly, leaving my lashes feeling greasy. I’ve only used it twice and noticed some lash fallout, which was quite concerning, as I expected it to help strengthen and promote growth. Personally, I wouldn’t use it again.

Insane product! My lashes are straight like cow’s and do not hold curl at all, even with waterproof mascara… but that product is almost life-changing :if you can say that about makeup…!:p) It does exactly what The Ordinary tells you it will, holds the whole day if you curl your lashes well before use. Doesn’t make lashes nor mascara clumpy (at least after ~ a month since first use) and dries quite fast so doesn’t make the morning prep much longer which is important to me. Another thing is that it doesn’t seem to irritate my eyes that tend to react to anything and everything! Couldn’t expect I would be so pleased with the product!

I've been using the finisher pretty much every day for just over 3 months and it works very well when applied after curling my lashes with a heated curler. I do get a little bit of white residue on the inner corner lashes, but can gently wipe it off. The trick is to try and minimise coating the tips of the lashes as much as possible. My only issue is that with long lashes I will inevitably touch the insides of my glasses and this product does not come off glasses easily! Alcohol wipes just smear it. The only thing that truly works is washing up liquid and rubber gloves wash. Saying that, I love it and I am saving on eyelash lifts! It's not perfect, but if it wasn't sticky it wouldn't hold the lashes. Pick your battles!

I don't really understand the point of this product. I was expecting sort of a clear mascara, because my assumption was that in order to hold a curl there would have to be some kind of hold/stiffness. This made my lashes look clumpy and wet, and I didn't see any evidence of it helping hold a curl. But even if it did, there is no visual effect that could offset the very weird sensory experience I had using this today. So many reviews said that this does not make lashes sticky: how????? I wore one coat on only my top lashes for about four hours and it did not dry down AT ALL. Every time I blinked I could feel my top lashes sticking to my bottom lashes, which is an unpleasant feeling. Equally unpleasant were the (oily!) smudges left on my glasses where my lashes brushed them. I'd agree with the reviewer that said the texture is a little like vaseline-- maybe a little thinner, like a lip balm or gloss. Around lunchtime I got fed up and tried to get as much as I could off. Water did not take it off, but it did spread it to my eyelids, and then I also got to feel like my eyes were sticking OPEN. So all-around sticky eyes and constant glasses-wiping. Luckily I didn't find the formula irritating because there's no way this didn't get into my eyes too. Maybe I got a bad tube or something, but this was extremely disappointing.
