Dolly Ankle Strap Platform Sandal (Women)

These are beautiful shoes - fun and sexy. That's why they get 3 stars, even though I can't wear them. The pros: they look like the photo - wonderful print, signature heel shape, very tall, and the straps that wrap around your ankle make almost any leg sexy. But they get zero on comfort/wearability. Stiff fabric around the toes causes a terrible rub, and the straps around the ankle don't lay right and end up cutting off circulation (I think in both cases the material is really stiff and doesn't conform to your foot shape). The footbed isn't flat - the padding pushes up in the center making it feel unstable. For $315, I'd expect more in the shot construction. These beauties will have to go back.

Having previously purchased this brand, I wasn’t aware that this shoe’s exterior would also be “plastic-like”. That aside, which I don’t necessarily care about, the band that goes across the toe area needs some reckoning. Unsure if the lack of comfort, and I mean, painfulness, is just because of the plastic material or if it’s because there is no padding below it but there is no way anyone would don these shoes and think they’re comfortable. I was sooooo disappointed as I built an outfit around these shoes and was salivating when they arrived. Could not wait for their receipt and they sorely missed all marks. The other pair I have are somewhat uncomfortable as well but more of a mule style with wider band so tolerable for a while. Wearers be ware!

I am self professed shoe ‘aficionado’ - worn every top designer shoe, mid-level shoe brand and beyond. These are the most uncomfortable shoe I’ve ever put on my feet, hands down. I’ve worn Old Navy and Target brands that are 1000x more comfortable than these. Second to the fit, after two hours of wearing them out of the box, through the lobby of my hotel, into an Uber, Christmas Eve mass, and dinner, the bottoms of the shoes were coming apart! I had to remove the shoes from my feet and walk into my hotel BAREFOOT. Do not purchase this product. To note, Nordstrom refused to accept this return for a manufacturer defect and told me to deal with the vendor directly- it was we not their problem since they didn’t purchase the shoe. 1st and last purchase of Larroudé shoes.

I loved the look of these heels--the color, block heel, and height were perfect. The platform and chunky heel made it easy to stand and walk in, however the ankle strip was way too short (I could barely buckle the loosest notch). Despite what I had read about Larroude being a great brand for wide feet, unfortunately they were too tight for me at the toe strap.
