Artliner Precision Point Liquid Eyeliner

I am 49 years old and have been applying liquid eye liner since I was 16 years old. In recent years, Lancôme's Artliner has become my absolute favorite for a few reasons. First of all it has a wonderful sponge like applicator brush which provides me with better control than the traditional bristle brushes have. It transitions easily from creating a thin line to a thicker line when needed without needing to lift the applicator. Secondly, I suffer from sensitive eye tissue and I have never experienced any irritation with use of this product. It is forgiving and cleans easily with a cosmetic Q-tip applicator if you need to thin the line. Third, as I have aged my upper eyelid tissue has changed and there are areas which are smooth and others that are changing with age and lack that youthful tight tissue. I am still able to control the application of the product without it looking like a 5th grader applied the liner. It cleanses up easily with your favorite skin cleansing products, even soap and water, and doesn't require tugging on the delicate eye area. In addition it does not stain the tissue with daily use as some liners can. My only concern with this product is that I have oily eyelids and it tends to melt at the outside corners after about 6-8 hours of wear, especially during hot weather or if suffering from seasonal allergies. I am sure there is a simple makeup tip to extend the wear time - I just haven't found it yet. I usually just reapply the liner in those areas without the result appearing touched up. However, I can also apply a second layer hours after the first application and not experienced any flaking. I tend to use the brown and noir colors depending on day or evening use. Of course my color preferences are because I am not adventurous enough (at my age) to experiment with anything else. If you have never applied liquid liner it may take a couple of practice attempts to gain the confidence for straight lines and some people grow frustrated and give up. Give it a try on the back of your hand first to get a feel for how holding it at various angles will give you the desired effect. The product seems to last a long time and I have not experience problems with the product drying out prematurely. I do not plunge the applicator tip in and out to obtain more product. I insert the wand, tighten it slightly, give it a good shake and/roll which does a fine job of re-loading the applicator top. Sorry for the lengthy review but I truly I believe in this product and for $30.00 I hope this information will convince you that is is money well spent.
