It actually works!
After acquiring ($$$) a drawer full of foundation primers, I had nearly given up. Then I tried a sample of La Base Pro that came with another Lancôme order. I am so glad I did, as this one actually works. It does not "shed" or "pill" like a bad sweater, or flake or cake. It just glides on like liquid glass (but in a good way) and provides an even base for foundation. I have been telling all of my women-friends-of-a-certain-age about this one. Way to go, Lancôme!

not for dry skin
I never used primer under my makeup, because I have ok skin, but I've decided to buy one and look even better for this coming wedding. I read all the reviews on this product
and decided to buy this primer. I wanted to hide my wrinkles and pores. I put very little this on top of my moisturizer. It felt very smooth, it took away shine from the moisturizer. felt smooth and matte, no color no shine. After 15 minutes I put very little powder makeup and all the primer came off, crambled. I waited one day then tried next day, it came off crambling of my face, i put very little, but I also have dry skin, so it didnot work for me. The worst thing, I had breakouts on my cheeks and I usually have clear skin, I am 49, I do not have pimples on my skin usually.
Did not help me to look better. I HAVE DRY SKIN AND DID NOT WORK FOR ME.

I've used many but this makes the foundation stay on my face so nicely. My face looks so soft and creamy and doesn'f land in my creases. I'm very happy with this product.

Great base / primer
I found this by accident and it's the best for a smooth, clean finish, whether used under makeup or even alone! It does not leave an oily surface or take extra time to dry before applying makeup. However, because it comes in a pump, it's hard to get the product from the bottom of the bottle out at the end. I have to use the pump like a stick to scrape the sides of the bottle, but that works pretty well, so there isn't any waste!

Ok - not spectacular
This a pretty good primer, but for the price I was just expecting more. It does keep my foundation on all day, and it has a very silky feel to it which I love. It doesn't take me much product to cover my entire face, so despite the small bottle it really does last a while. I only gave it three stars, though, because I've used drugstore primers before that performed literally just as well as this one.
As a side note, I have large visible pores and this primer doesn't fill them up and camouflage them, but then again it doesn't claim to so I'm not surprised about that.

No flaws make-up application
I love La Base Pro. I noticed a difference the first time I tried the sample sent to me with an order. My foundation goes on so smoothly and stays perfect all day long. It firms up my skin and reduces the appearance of large pores.
