I agree with the other reviewer about the chemical (actually glue) smell being strong, but after 24 hours, it is dissipating. That being said, the leather is buttery soft. The inside (uppers) is simply the suede side of the the leather outside. There is no lining which means if your feet get damp, the black dye will most likely transfer to your feet. The removable footbed is typical L'Amour des Pieds. It has some arch support and is very comfortable. I purchased the white color in size 7.5 . I wear a 7 in most sandals (L'Amour des Pieds, Tory Burch Miller , Olukai) and I like a 7.5 in closed toe. The 7.5 fit perfectly without socks. I love the open design for Spring/Summer. For reference, I wear Birkenstocks in a 37 EU Narrow (but I am not a true narrow- only in this brand). My foot measures a true size 7 medium (37.5 EU) with a slightly narrow heal. I would describe the shoe as a typical medium width. My heel does not slip out of the shoe. These are a comfy everyday sneaker.
