Lake Shasta 56mm ChromaPop^™ Polarized Sunglasses

These Smith sunglasses came quickly, lovingly packaged, and in perfect condition. Thank you, L.L.Bean! Even though ChromaPop is designed to increase clarity and contrast, not reduce glare, I decided to try them. Hopefully, along with the Polarized feature, they'll help a bit more with sun glare. (Yesterday was cloudy, today is cloudy, and it's to remain cloudy in my area at least through next week Wednesday, so I haven't been able to try them out in the sun.) Although these sunglasses are pricey, they appear thoughtfully well-made. You're paying for quality, not a designer label, and they're comfortable and attractive to boot. The rose gold mirrors look great with the tortoise shell frames, the hinges are sturdy, the nose pads do their job well, the frame bottoms don't nudge your cheeks, and your eyebrows are still visible. Ah, yes, there's still something to be said for "Made in the U.S.A! NOTE: I have high, wide cheekbones, so these sunglasses fit me perfectly. Some women may find them a little too big.
