Laguna Floral One-Shoulder Sheath Gown

I have been struggling to find a gown for an upcoming wedding that works with my curvy, post menopausal body. My waist is thicker than it used to be and my hourglass shape has gotten a bit thicker as I move through my 50's. I resigned myself to the fact that I probably would end up with a flowy dress that worked rather than a show stopper. Then I tried on this Laguna Floral One Shoulder Sheath Gown. Wow!!! It hugged my body but since the material has some give to it, I could sit and move. I must wear a bra with my 36 D chest. I can easily get a strapless bra on with this dress and once my girls are in place, the rest of the dress hugs me in all the right places. I feel confident with my curves and the pattern and ruching acts as a camouflage to places on my body that I don't feel great about (my whole mid-section). I will keep this dress and plan to dance and enjoy the wedding with confidence. The dress seems to stay nicely in place and moves with my body. I usually wear a size 12 in clothing, but ordered up a size in this dress. It is snug, but with shape wear I feel like I can move and breath with ease.

I usually wear 8 to 10, am 5'-6," 130-135 lbs. I'm 64, so the waistline isn't quite what she used to be! I managed to get the zipper up in the size 10 but it's quite snug through the waist/lower ribcage. Meanwhile the neckline gaps a bit (I wear 36C.) I also noticed that the stitches are coming out at the top of the leg slit - maybe someone stretched it a bit too much in the dressing room? I've ordered a size 12 to see if it fits any more comfortably. In the meantime I will redouble my diet and exercise efforts to try to get the 10 to fit in time for a June wedding! The dress really is stunning, looks just like the photo. Fabric is soft, slightly stretchy, dress is nicely lined. My husband isn't easily impressed but he agreed that this one is special.
