For at least a year I've been looking at this incredible elephant and I finally decided to treat myself to it. It's even more amazing in person than online. The piece truly captures the wonder of elephants and I feel wearing it honors these incredible animals. The necklace is long and I suspect I will shorten it by removing some of the length; this beautiful little beauty needs to be higher on my body instead of about 3" above my belly button! I will probably take 4-8 inches so it still sits below the neckline of all my clothes, but sits higher on my body instead of just above my belly button and becomes invisible when I sit at my desk. I do like the chain; it works very well with the elephant and the Lagos Columbus Circle ball earrings I also bought at the same time; the latter will be reviewed separately. The Lagos packaging is beautiful as well, with each piece coming in its own customized jewelry bag, with a customized polishing cloth for sterling silver, each in a separate Lagos box, and the box wrapped with a bow, all in a shade of deep purple. The boxes came wrapped neatly in thick sheets of gold tissue paper. Beautiful packaging for a beautiful piece. BTW, I ordered this yesterday around noon and received it before 10 am today! What a delight to get it the very next day! Signature required.

Personally, I wasn't crazy about the ball chain. I would have preferred a more sophisticated style and at 34 inches, it was way too long for me but I am petite (5' 2"). To make it shorter, it can be doubled through the pendant's circular hook, or you can shorten it by simply cutting it off between balls at the desired length. Because the pendant is easily detachable, you can also just use a different chain. The pendant, itself, is richly detailed and solidly well made. It offers a bit of whimsy yet is elegant. I like it very much and am happy with the purchase.

This little owl is my lucky Las Vegas charm! I have worn this baby to the casino (Las Vegas and Pittsburgh) and I've won over $6,000. The owl charm is a nice heavy weight. The ball style chain never pulls on my neck and hasn't changed colors at all. It's a beautiful (and lucky) piece of timeless jewelry.
