What it is: A rich cream that nourishes and comforts with deep moisture while illuminating the eye area to reveal extraordinary beauty.
What it does: White Caviar Eye Extraordinaire is enriched with the breakthrough illuminating molecule Lumidose, which is the most potent inhibitor of tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for the formation of melanin. The formula intensely targets grey, brown, yellow, red and violet chromatic disturbances that can dull skin's natural light and boosts the reflection of light from the skin, illuminating it. It helps restore the feeling of firmness and smoothes out shadows and contrasts in the extended eye area while leaving skin feeling comforted with its elasticity and moisture levels improved. It shields skin from the appearance of greyness due to pollution; reduces the appearance of brown spots, especially on the cheekbones; and reduces redness and violet tints under the surface of the skin that cause undereye darkness. This cream also helps diminish the appearance of yellowness.
How to use: Apply morning and evening. Press the depression on the top of the jar with your index finger, then sweep the formula with the tip of your ring finger. Apply around the eye zone using a press and roll motion, beginning under the eye at the inner corner and moving toward the temple. Next, use the ceramic pearl tool. Beginning under the eye at the inner corner, roll the cooling tool around the eye area for a de-puffing massage.

A worthy investment
I've been using this for about 6 months (every day, in the morning). I'm not 100% sure if this product is the reason for my decreased undereye circles because I also started using La Prairie's white caviar illuminating eye serum at the same time as this product (I layer this one on top of the serum). Either way, the combination of these two products has DRAMATICALLY reduced my dark circles. These products take some time to work, so don't expect magic from day one. They're so expensive that even though after a couple weeks of use I still hadn't seen results I figured I'll just keep using them since they were a huge investment. I'm not sure when the change actually occurred, but it was about 3 or 4 months after using this plus the eye serum everyday that one day I looked in the mirror, like really looked, and couldn't put my finger on it but there was a new youthful glow to my face. Eventually it hit me, MY DARK CIRCLES WERE ALMOST 100% GONE. It was such a gradual improvement that I didn't even notice just how much these products helped me until a few months in. The wait was so worth it though. I have NEVER found a product that does even half as much as these two have done for me. I've struggled with dark circles since my teenage years, and have probably spent 10k over the past 15 years trying to find a solution. This product plus the white caviar eye serum are the two products that sold me on La Prairie and I've now started using their lip balm, liquid lift, and skin caviar cream as well. I am 100% convinced and converted. If you struggle with dark circles, I would HIGHLY recommend this plus the white caviar illuminating eye serum. Be diligent, be patient, and you will be amazed.

Not gentle on eyes
When applying, I accidently got some in my eye, and it BURNED! Way more than an eye cream should burn. At the time of writing this review, my eye is still sore. While not applying to my eyeball, I do not think it is unreasonable to get eye cream in your eye. As such, it seems to me that eye cream should be much more gentle. I have not had this problem in the past with any other eye creams. While the cream did not work out for me, I will say that the packaging is beautiful!

Beautiful to look at but not worth the expense
First this lotion comes in a beautiful container that looks pretty sitting out and doesn't have to be shoved in a drawer or cabinet. I love the dispenser that gives just the right amount of lotion and doesn't require dipping a paddle or your finger into the container. The texture is smooth and goes on easy. I'm not crazy about the scent of this lotion. Very perfumed and can be irritating if your eyes are prone to allergies. Perfume is such a personal choice that either you will love it or not love this scent. Finally I give this only three stars because I haven't found that the lotion has done anything remarkable that would prompt me to spend this amount of money in the future on face creams. The pearled roller doesn't alway roll smoothly and can grab at the skin. So I will treat this as a pretty decoration for my bathroom sink that I will keep for a long time to justify this impulse purchase.

Fabulous and worth the price.
I find this eye cream to be really wonderful and a product that works. I received a generous trial size from a Nordstom sales lady when I purchased another one of their products and I plan to buy the full size. It is worth the expense to me as it cost less than a Botox treatment and works better for the eye area. I love the ease of using this creamy product, it glides on so nicely. I had expected to wait a long time for it to work but in just three weeks the under eye puffiness and even the darkness has been very much lessened. This is not just a temporary result of using this cream. I look so much better under my eyes that I can hardly believe it. I have very sensitive skin but the fragrance does not bother me at all. I use it twice, day and night and on upper lip lines. I cannot do without it and hope they never change it.

HARDLY MOISTURISED
I know the focus of this eye cream is reducing dark circles and general brightening but for me the most basic thing it has to do first and foremost is moisturise - but this one doesn't. It's very lightweight and makes my eyes look and feel dry and tight when I use it.
