End-Of-Day Magic!

I wondered if this would be worth the money, but it definitely is! At my age, by about 3pm I'm starting to look a little "rough around the edges" but I'm not about to start all over again with all my skincare products and foundation. However, this little compact is the perfect little pick-me-up. The top of the compact contains a magic eye... what? Not exactly a gel, not exactly a cream, but something to pat under my eyes, right over my concealer, and it smooths out all the day's cares. The bottom of the compact contains the world's smoothest, most moisturizing lip balms that I have ever met... and I've used a lot of lip balm over the years! It can go on over lipstick, but by the afternoon, my lipstick is usually gone. So I pat on a dot of this balm, and then apply lipstick on top of that. The balm plumps my lips a tiny bit, and makes my lipstick go on like a dream. And hey, presto! I'm set for a few more hours. Hint: this is also a great "go to" compact for an evening out; halfway through the evening, I sneak out to the restroom and repair myself with both sides of the compact. Also, it only takes the tiniest dab of each product to do the job, so while it is expensive, I think it will last me at least a year, if not longer. If you have some discretionary income and you're over 40, it's well worth it!

Huge disappointment

I was very excited to try this product that has such good reviews. However, my lips did not get plumped, and the look of my eyes did not change a bit. Overall, this product did not have any effect on my skin and look.

Great Luxury Product

I am a huge La Prairie fan! To be completely honest this product is not a MUST HAVE unless you want to splurge and pamper yourself. This item is not a necessity for your skin care routine. The packaging is so luxurious and I absolutely love it. I keep it in my purse and use the lip balm throughout the day. Not so much the eye cream. However, for traveling, I take it with me every time. What I do is leave my eye cream at home and just bring my Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex and use this gel as my eye cream day and night. The lip balm is great because it really does plump and keeps your lips moisturized. BUT again, unless you are ok with splurging then I would not recommend you purchase it as it really is an extra convenient luxury product.

Love It, Love Using It

I was seduced by the sharp, shiny packaging. I love this with or without the leather cover, easy to throw into your bag. A touch too large for a pocket. I find having 2 mirrors, one for either product, rather luxurious. I notice plumper lips the morning after I wear this to bed. The lip balm has a pale sheen to it, lousy under longwear lip gloss but really nifty over a lipstick. The eye cream is for touch ups, though it does function if applied alone. The texture of the eye cream- gel is unusual, it grew on me. Not certain if I've experienced the full benefits of the eye product as described in the ad. The scent of the eye & lip balms are heavenly. Refill pans should be available, I hate the idea of throwing this whole compact away and buying a whole new replacement-- really wasteful. The list of ingredients is massive.

Buyer Beware

I heard so many wonderful reviews on this product so I decided to splurge. It was wonderful until I was out shopping on a warm day, when I opened my container the lip balm had melted into a waxy mess. Back it goes and I will stick to my $15 Bobbi Brown lip balm.

Perfect For Travel

I love this! I travel a good bit and it's so incredibly perfect for a quick pick me up either on a plane or mid afternoon. The eye balm is smooth and doesn't mess up your concealer nor does it make your mascara/liner smudge. It blurs out dry/fine lines too. The lip balm is silky and really moisturizing without being sticky...it's like wearing the most perfect lip gloss. The container is a bit bulky, but the product is amazing. Pretty darn pricey, but it's truly a stand alone product, no one has anything like it out there. Love this!
