I started using The Tonic about 1 months ago. After 1 week of use I noticed a dramatic difference in the clarity of my skin. I was using The Tonic as part of my cleansing routine along with The Oil for cleansing by La Mer. I find the two products go hand and hand to make the cleansing complete. I am completely sold on The Tonic and certainly will order another bottle when this one is gone. It requires a rather small amount on a cotton square to do an outstanding job. The fact that it goes so far makes the rather steep price point tolerable and definitely worth every penny.

Harsh On Sensitive Skin
I have sensitive dry skin. This toner was too harsh and I now have flaking on my chin and forehead. Extremely disappointing after investing so much money into this product! I have used this product alone with my regular skin care routine as well as in conjunction with the La Mer Moisturizing Cream and Treatment Lotion with the same results. I also discovered I am allergic to the cream (I got itchy within minutes after using it and had to wash it off). If you have dry skin, I would be careful using this without a deep moisturizing cream. Lesson learned: Always test products on a discreet area of skin even if you pay a lot of money for them!!

How did I live without this?
I have been using this product for a little over a month. My skin is noticeably brighter - no muddiness at all!
I have rosacea, and it has not made that flare or create the dry bumpy skin that most often happens when I use a toner.

clean but drying
Toner has always been a step in my beauty routine but this tonic was actually more than that and not meant for everyday. It was very drying, and I have combination skin that tends to be dry already. My face definitely felt clean though. I would think it would be perfect for oily skin.

My skin saver
This is the first time I use La Mer toner after trying so many brands. It's an amazing product and the best I've had. It moisturizes my skin, minimizes pores, and non- drying after uses. The toner is pretty pricey but so worth it. I use La Mer Soft Cream after the toner for the best results, then winters and fine lines are no longer skin troubles.
