The Soft Moisture Powder Foundation Compact SPF 30

I don’t know what these other reviewers were using but it couldn’t be the powder I have. This powder is the most divine and creamy product I’ve ever put on my skin. If used as directed, you’ll get the perfect flush of color that will brighten and smooth your complexion. It doesn’t grab to dry areas and has really good wear time. The pigments are so refined I can hardly see it on my skin. No disgusting sparkles either. It looks incredibly natural. It’s even smooth enough to go under my eyes without creasing. Totally worth the hype.

I LOVE this powder! It's hands-down one of the best powders I've used. It feels incredibly silky, blurs my pores, and doesn't settle into fine lines over my concealer. I would say this powder is equivalent to a sheer foundation or tinted moisturizer in coverage. The packaging can mislead you to think it will have more coverage since it looks similar to the Diorskin Forever Extreme Control Powder and Chanel Ultrawear Flawless Finish Compacts which both are definitely medium/full cover. It also has a sort of brightening finish that's hard do describe since it's not glittery... I can see a difference in the brightness and clarity of my face with this powder on versus not. I prefer using a powder brush over the sponge since the sponge can sometimes apply too much... but is of course the sponge is convenient when on the go.

Chanel foundation is so much better than this. I find this to be way too sheer to provide good coverage, and it doesn’t blend with my skin well at all. Too powdery to be a good foundation. Nice try La Mer, Chanel is still the reigning champ.

This is my favorite powder foundation by far!! I used a La Mer powder foundation many many years ago & it was so good.. This one is just as amazing. I recently went to Disneyworld & with the humidity, sun/sweating, wearing masks, this did wonders for me! Better than the liquid foundation I wore on one of the days. I wish Nordstrom would carry the refill soon, because it is pricey & I will need a replacement !! Also, I tried the new Fenty powder, Estee lauder double wear, & Guerlain powders, & they were not even close to this quality..

I love this foundation. If you’re in a hurry, it’s quick to apply. It stays on all day and night, and if you use the textured side of the sponge it gives even more coverage. It never cakes. It’s the best I’ve ever found.

LOVE this compact, LOVE THAT IT HAS SPF, though the layer is so thin, one must imagine the value is limited. Still, every bit helps. At 60, I have naturally dry skin that is kept glassy with Dr. Babor collagen cream and spf 70. HERE’S WHAT THIS POWDER CAN AND CANNOT DO. IT DOESN”T MAKE YOU MATTE. Rather, if you’re already using a dewy foundation—I use Dior Satin glow—it will take away the oiliness, set your makeup, and leave you with a moist, natural finish. BEST METHOD IS TO USE A KABUKI BRUSH TO STIPPLE IT ALL OVER THE DESIRED AREA—that really only needs to be the t-zone for most of us——THEN LIGHTLY SWEEP AWAY EXCESS. If you start by “wiping”on powder, it has a greater chance of winding up n your pores. A famous makeup artist taught me this trick. It works. DONT TOUCH AFTER APPLICATION FOR A LITTLE WHILE—but then, it’s actually okay! This is a nice, luxe powder that does not get ruined if you rub into it. It doesn’t pill, gather, pool—any of that. It’s very natural-looking. Of course, if you rub on it, the oil from your hand will moisten it. But it will look fine. This is good to know, because there are some powders, even luxe ones, that are such that if you scratch the side of your nose, you end up with pores showing, and globs of powder. Unsightly! TWO HOURS LATER, YOU CAN LAY SUNSCREEN ON TOP AND FOLLOW WITH ANOTHER DUSTING. Yep, you heard me right. I KNOW THIS IS OVERKILL. But But if you’re into overkill like me— extra sunscreen later in the day, right on top of this stuff doesn’t make it cakey. It just melts. I use an oil-free sunscreen (remember the glassy skin and the Dr. Babor). As with all daytime coats of additional sunscreen, common knowledge tells us to wait at least 3-5 minutes until it is absorbed before powdering. Hope this helps!
