Luxury in a bottle
Wonderful, fabulous, amazing, soothing, luxurious, hydrating. These are just a few of the words I use to describe this incredible cleansing oil. It truly is luxury in a bottle and it is also a very effective facial cleanser. I love the look of the green bottle with the pearlescent oils in it sitting on the counter, and the feel and scent of the oil on my face as I massage it into my dry skin and can feel my skin not only becoming hydrated, but also the impurities of the day being removed and then rinsed away. Afterwards my skin feels amazing, so incredibly soft and smooth. If only that feeling would last forever, but alas, I have very dry, sensitive skin and can't quite afford the entire La Mer line of products. But I absolutely adore the Cleansing Oil; it's my little part of La Mer heaven.
Although expensive, a little of this cleansing oil goes a very long way. I've been using mine for at least 3 months and have barely made a dent in the bottle; at most I've used 1/8th of the bottle if that. I find that just under one full pump is more than enough to cleanse my face and neck.
This is one luxury all women deserve to treat themselves to. My skin looks and feels so much better after starting to use La Mer The Cleansing Oil instead of other forms of cleansers. This oil cleanser is very gentle, yet very effective and lasts forever. I highly recommend it for everyone, men and women alike...and remember men need to take care of their skin as much as we women do and probably more so as we tend to take care of ourselves more than men do to begin with. So get this for yourself and convince the man in your life it's good for him too; he'll thank you for it in the long run. And convince him to wear sunscreen every day too and you'll both live happier, longer, healthier lives!

La Mer The Cleansing Oil
I really wanted to love this product. When it arrived, I was so excited to try it out. It looks so beautiful in the bottle-definitely a luxury product! I have combination skin that tends to be more dry in the winter months, and I was looking for an oil cleanser that would remove makeup in the evening. I could only stand to use this product a couple of times, as it made my eyes sting and water so badly that I just could not stick to it. I do not have sensitive eyes, and I do not wear contact lenses. Yes, I probably could have used a separate eye makeup remover, but I wanted a product that could remove all of my makeup in 1 step. This cleanser also dried my skin out a bit (I didn't think that was possible with an oil-based cleanser) and smelled disagreeable. I was expecting more from La Mer.

La Mer Cleansing Oil
This is a fantastic product that I have used for 8 years. It removes make up and leaves the skin feeling silky.

Effective Oil Cleanser suitable for sensitive skin
"My name is Lauren, and I am a La Mer addict...". This is another La Mer product that I have to have on hand at all times. It dissolves sunscreen, foundation, even eye makeup easily and rinses clean, leaving skin soft and hydrated. Can be used alone, or the first step in a "double cleanse" - I follow with The Cleansing Lotion or The Cleansing Gel depending on the weather and/or my activity level. Never irritates my skin, even the eye area.

WOW. That was my first reaction after I rinsed my face. I had been searching for a "complete" cleansing oil for so long. Many that I tried never effectively removed my many layers of waterproof mascara and I would always wake up with greyish raccoon eyes in the morning. But this! This does it all. The consistency is that of cooking oil and it smells lightly like castor oil. That was the only turn off for me bc I started having flashbacks to my labor inducing days #DontAsk. I massaged this all over my face INCLUDING my eye area. And I wasn't very rough either. Just a gentle massage. When I rinsed it, the oil turned a milky consistency and just melted away. I patted dry a moisturized, glowing face that had no trace of mascara, eyeliner or even my water liner. I even went back with my makeup wipe to be sure, but no. There was none left. The next morning my eyes were bright and raccoon eye free! This is a keeper. I wish the scent was more pleasant. I was really expecting something nice and floral. But a little scent isn't going to turn me off to what may be the greatest cleansing oil that I have tried yet.

I have used a lot of skincare products and I always go back to La Mer. Yes, I know it's expensive but I'm willing to pay for a product like this. It feels like olive oil when you first put it on but it washes clean off your face and makes skin soft. I break out easily, I have been using this for several weeks with no breakouts. I highly recommend this cleansing oil.
