La Mer
La Mer creates luxury, high-performance skin care and makeup by harnessing the power of the sea. In the 1960s, aerospace physicist Dr. Max Huber set out to help heal the appearance of scars he suffered in a lab accident. Pioneering the use of sea kelp and bio-fermentation in skin care, he created Miracle Broth™—the elixir that powers the legendary Crème de la Mer.

Great for aging and sensitive skin
I am a LaMer addict, and this is a staple for me. This is a very gentle but effective lotion cleanser, leaves face clean of makeup, no residue, and a "glow". My daily routine includes The Cleansing Lotion, The Eye Balm Intense, Creme de La Mer - I also use The Cleansing Gel on especially humid or active days. I am 55 with dry, sensitive skin and this regime leaves my skin calm, hydrated and looking ten years younger (if I say so myself).

Immediately no
I thought I was going to love this product but sadly it was a dud. It made no difference in my skin and didn’t clean my skin good. For the price $95 it should do just that. Very strong scent. You do have to apply a lot in order to feel the product otherwise is evaporates

La Mer can do better. . .
I have used LaMer Cleansing Foam and Cleaning Oil. Both perform much better. This product feels diluted, doesn't have the emolient features of the oil or the deep cleansing properties of the foam. It's advertised as "gentle enough to remove eye make-up" However, it is not effective at removing eye make-up. I had to follow-up with an eye makeup remover or the cleansing foam. La Mer makes a lot of great products that I love. This is not one of them. I will not buy this again.

Great but Pricey
I have used this cleanser for years and I really like how great it treats my dry sensitive skin. However, the price has crept up so greatly that I am now seeking alternatives.

Great for Sensitive Skin
I am allergic to sodium laurel sulfate which is found in the majority of facial cleansers. Most cleansers without that ingredient don't clean very well but this cleansing lotion does the job. It cleans well, doesn't irritate or make me break out, and when using the tonic afterward gives me clean, clear and fresh skin. This is not a cleanser that will give some the squeaky clean feel of a cleanser that rinses off with water (chlorine) but for those of you with chemically sensitive skin this may be perfect. I highly recommend finishing with the tonic. The two together are a great combo.

Cleans and Moisturizes
This is the perfect cleanser for skin that ends to be dry. It leaves skin both clean and moist, almost glowing.

LOVE this cleanser!!!!
I use this to remove my makeup as well as a cleanser. It smells wonderful, very subtle and works well with my Clarisonic. It leaves my face feeling clean. It does not leave a coating and best of all, does not dry my skin! I also use the La Mer toner, it pairs perfect with this cleansing lotion! LOVE it!! You can't go wrong. I use La Mer moisture cream as well and absolutely love it!!
