Lace & Satin A-Line Gown

This is a beautiful dress. I bought it and wore it to my son’s wedding. I would not recommend this dress the skirts top layer is very delicate. By the end of the evening it had ripped twice and had several snags in it. It is gorgeous and photographed well. By the end of the evening it was a throw away dress.

This is a gorgeous dress! The irredescent skirt is flowly & light weight. Sooo elegant to walk in. It has a faint, but beautiful navy blue shimmer to it. It would have been beautiful as a Mother of the Bride/Groom dress because our wedding has navy bridesmaids dresses. The only complaint I have is that the bodice is on the small/tight side. I am 5'4" at 128 lbs. The plastic tabs sewn in to help keep its shape made the top stiff and poked into my waist. I so wish I could have kept it but I had to return it for that reason. It made the dress uncomfortable to wear.

This is a strong contender, favored by future daughter-in-law! I have been shopping for a Mother of the Groom dress, and this one hits all the desires. I am 5'6", about 165lbs and this dress is very flattering around the stomach bulge area. Runs a bit long, so even with heels, will need to be hemmed.

This La Femme dress is beautifully made and perfect for me as the Mother of the Groom. It arrived in the expected window of time although I feel the shipping box was a bit small and the dress is very wrinkled. I found this dress at Neiman Marcus for $20.00 cheaper but not in my size which forced my hand to purchase it at Nordstrom's and only online. I found the fit for me was between two sizes and I needed to go up a size and will most likely need some alterations before the big day in September. The dress deserves a 5 Star review, the Nordstrom price and packaging a 3-4.

Lovely dress. I wore it to my son’s wedding. I ordered the cocoa color. Know that it is darker than represented in the photo. Still, it was a lovely choice. I felt that the size guide was quite accurate so I’d recommend selecting the size that is closest to your largest measurement. The dress is definitely long and unless you are really tall and wearing heels, expect the need to have it altered. I also had the top altered as I am pear shaped and needed the size for the waist and hips so I had to have the chest and shoulders taken in. Because it is padded, it was a bit pricey to have the tailor rework the padding. I also had to travel with it so it did wrinkle and needed pressing when I arrived at the location. A slightly warm iron did the trick.
