Embellished Midi Dress with Jacket

I usually wear a size 8 petite dress as I am 5'2" and about 125 lbs., so I purchased this dress in Medium. I could have worn the Small, but I don't like anything tight on me and the Medium gave me the freedom to move easily. Every dress I tried on prior to this one for my daughter's wedding made me look short and chubby. And I did not want a sleeveless dress. This dress really flows like silk. It has a lot of interesting detail in terms of texture and beadwork. The dress hid a multitude of sins and the jacket has a tiny button in the front to add a nice waistline effect if you button it. The color is a teal green sea glass color with a subtle periwinkle blue ombre toward the hem. Very comfortable and lightweight too! I did not need any foundation garments to cinch trouble areas and I did not need a slip. It does hang, but in comparison to the heavy beaded dresses available, it was so comfortable. And it already has that Komarov "wrinkle" so it packed easily and I never had to worry about ironing! I just popped it on and danced the night away. Many compliments. The dress and color are very pretty. However, the beading at the top of the dress is not what is pictured. The dress I received had totally different beading that stopped an inch below the shoulder. One side of the beading extended up longer than the other side, and a row of beading was missing. There was a very noticeable gap. For the price paid for the dress, I expected to receive what I saw online. I returned the dress to a Nordstrom store so that I could specifically show it to Customer Service. I suggested that they not try and resell it with its flaws. I was very disappointed. It would have been a perfect dress for my daughter's garden wedding. Nordstrom really needs to check their items before sending them to trusting purchasers.
