Kindred Collection Starling Smart Bassinet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bassinet is beautiful! The materials and fabrics feel so soft and luxurious. My first baby was a very fussy sleeper, never sleeping more than an hour or two at a time for the first couple months. I was hopeful my second baby would be different, but they were the same. So I was very, very excited to get this and had a lot of hope it would make things better. And my gosh, this has literally changed our lives for the entire family! It looks simple and a bit assuming, in a classy way, but is absolutely packed with features. Every feature seems to have multiple settings for the fullest customization and control. I especially appreciate the Bluetooth feature as my baby already had a specific sound they like to fall asleep to. It was easy and quick to set up and the apps are all easy to use and understand (though just some small glitches here and there), and I love being able to listen to what’s going on and control everything from my phone. The different movements are helpful depending on baby’s mood; I’ve noticed some are more soothing than others depending on how upset they are. But most importantly, it WORKS. It actually WORKS! My baby is finally sleeping, which means we are finally sleeping, and I can truly be the parent I want to be because I’m not desperately constantly sleep deprived. I’ve barely dived into the full scope of everything this smart bassinet has to offer and it’s already made such a huge impact and difference in our lives. I will never go without one again if we have anymore babies! The only small complaints I have, which are greatly overshadowed by everything I love about it, is it’s a bit tall. I do wish the legs were adjustable and I could make the height a little shorter and then taller again as needed. I also wish the max height/weight were a bit bigger simply because I’d want to use it as long as possible. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I very graciously received the Maxi Cosi Starling Smart Bassinet in Heritage from Stellar Product Testing Panel. In a world of ever growing technology, who would have ever thought that a bassinet could read the exact rhythm and movement a baby may need to calm/maintain a resting stat. This one does it exceptionally well. It was the EASIEST to put together and all it took was a few snaps of the legs and it was ready to rock and roll. Aesthetically, it is truly gorgeous. It is wild to me that something with so many features can fit into something so simple and modern. My daughter was a bit picky when she was born when it came to bassinets. This one. She went into instantly. I think it has something to do with the way the netting and mattress fit really comfily into the base itself. She is able to self soothe with the mix of the sounds and the many operational functions. She loves the Zephyr motion as it gives a little bit of everything. I love the ability to be able to operate from the app as well. The bluetooth allows for you to hook up easily in case you are not in the room. My daughter loves the white noise function and will even lay in the bassinet a bit longer when she wakes to the built in lullaby style sound. The sensors for cry alert is also great. We haven't used this option as extensively as we naturally wake when she does and are able to lean in to adjust. However, love that the option is there. All in all, having never tried a smart bassinet"---this one feels like the choice of all choices. It's gorgeous, easy to put together, highly functional, and my baby loves it. If you are at all debating--let this be your sign.

We received it as part is a Stellar testing panel.The sleek, modern aesthetic blends perfectly with our nursery, and the soft fabrics give it a premium, comfortable feel. It’s the kind of bassinet you’d be excited to show off, but even better—it's practical. The **5 natural motions** are a game-changer when it comes to comfort. Whether it's the gentle rocking or the soft swaying, the bassinet mimics the comforting motions of being held or rocked. Our baby has settled so much easier, and I’ve noticed them falling asleep faster, staying relaxed longer, and even napping more soundly. The motions are smooth and don’t feel jarring or too fast, which I really appreciate for those early months. The **Cry Translation Technology** has been a life-saver. It’s amazing how accurately it picks up on our baby’s cries and translates them into a type of distress or need (hungry, tired, etc.). While it doesn't always pinpoint every cry perfectly, it has definitely helped me feel more confident in responding quickly to my baby’s needs. It’s like having an extra pair of ears when you’re trying to figure out what’s wrong, especially in the middle of the night when you're half asleep. I also love the **Connected Family App**. The setup was quick and easy—basically a few taps on my phone—and I was able to adjust the motions and sounds to suit what my baby liked most. You can personalize it based on your little one's preferences, so it feels like the bassinet is tailored to them. The ability to control everything remotely is incredibly convenient, whether I'm in the other room or just relaxing on the couch. As for my favorite feature, it’s hard to choose just one, but if I had to, I’d say the **motion options** paired with the ability to adjust sound and vibration levels. It's made all the difference in calming our baby during fussy times, and we can quickly switch things up when something isn’t working. Overall, the Maxi-Cosi Starling Smart Bassinet has truly exceeded my expectations. It’s not only a stylish piece for our nursery but an invaluable tool that has helped improve both our baby's comfort and our sleep. Highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to receive this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel as I had been using an older, more basic bassinet for my baby and I was ready for a change. Without a doubt, this bassinet is beautiful and attractive. Baby products are often not an added bonus to a room's aesthetic, but this one truly is. The materials are of premium quality and I'm sure this piece will last for years and years. I love how the main fabric is sheer so that the baby can look out (and breathe), but it is still super strong and sturdy. While I do appreciate the product's design, there are 2 things which I would have appreciated: 1) a shorter bassinet- I keep my baby next to my bed and would like to be able to reach her without having to get up and 2) wheels! It would probably take away from the classiness of the design, but having wheels on a bassinet really can come in handy. The smart features are super cool. This bassinet essentially has a built-in sound machine and baby monitor! I also love the 2-way audio. This was my first time using a "smart" baby item; I did find it a little bit confusing to navigate through the app, maybe it has a little too much information/ options. My baby doesn't specifically get calmed down by the movements, but had I started using this bassinet when she was a newborn (she's 3 months now), it could be she would take to it differently. In all, it's a beautiful, well-made bassinet with great features.
