What it does: This unique facial toner soothes and improves the feel of skin. Formulated with allantoin and great burdock root, this gentle toner is free from alcohol and harsh synthetic drying ingredients. Allantoin, known to be a bacteria inhibitor, can soothe and reduce skin inflammation while calendula soothes and is especially beneficial for delicate, sensitive skin. Great burdock root is a gentle, natural ingredient known for centuries to help improve dry skin.
How to use: After cleansing, moisten a sterile cotton pad with toner. Smooth onto skin in areas where needed, avoiding the eye area. Use day or night.

I've used a few bottles of this toner by now. Every time I switch toners I always come back to this this one since I find this toner to be most gentle and the one that helps most with keeping my skin clear. I've noticed how I breakout less when I persistently use this toner.
Using this toner alone without serum and/or moisturizer can be dry for my normal skin. I think this works best or oily and combination skins.
The downside I can think of is how this toner is tinted so it's hard for me to know if this toner helps me remove my makeup. With a clear toner, I'd be able to know by looking at a cotton pad. I can't tell when I use this toner.

Broken lid.
Not happy with the purchase. The lid was broken and it was dirty inside the lid. I didn't ask for a change because I need a toner badly and the seal seems OK.

Great toner

Refreshing & Light!
This toner is truly refreshing - I had stopped using toner due to the astringency - I have lupus and need to be very careful about what I use. I received a sample of the Calendula Toner & since it is Kiehl's, decided to try it -
I'm so glad I did! I love it and use it everyday now - thanks, Kiehl's you are the best!!!!

I have used practically every toner on the market. I love this stuff! It is NOT drying like most for oily skin are, and leaves a refreshing, NON STINGING feel. My skin loves this.

for acne and oily skin
It's great toner with light herbal smell. It helps to control your oil. Very helpful. I feel relax when I used it. But the thing that I worried this toner have paraben:(
