Kids' Roma Birko-Flor Slingback Sandal

I love, love, love Birkenstock, so when I saw these I had to buy them for my baby boy. They are super cute, and the quality is great (I mean, what else can you expect from Birkenstock?). However, I did find that these shoes run very large. I got my son a size 7 because that's his usual size, and these were huge on him. I had to return them and unfortunately I haven't had any luck finding a size 6 for walker... Bummer! Like I said, if you're a Birkenstock aficionado like I am you will not be disappointed, but do keep in mind that these run large and my son doesn't have small or average size feet, his feet are huge!

This is such a cute and stylish shoe for our son. He loved them right away and runs around it them without any issues. He hasn't been a fan of sandals most of his life, so this is a big plus. I would typically get the cheaper version, but decided to splurge and I'm glad we did! The three adjustable straps will make it fit even if it's a half size too big (which it is so he'll grow into them). No spots are rubbing and the sole is durable (except when he used it for brakes on his balance bike). I put that they are a bit wide, but my son has very narrow feet, so that might not be totally accurate.

My son LIVED in these shoes last summer and we have purchased the next size up this year, to arrive any day and I’m sure will go immediately onto my happy little Birkenstock loving boys feet! Forget the keens. Buy the birks! Adjustable straps and so very Style-versatile. I have never understood how the “cork” sole could be comfortable, but apparently the hype of the birks lives on. I might need to buy a pair for myself.

Don’t settle for Target, or cheap kids brands. Kids need good shoes too! I hate it when cheap plastic sandals rub on kids feet. Invest in quality!!! These are super lightweight and can be fastened to however wide or narrow your kids feet are. Real leather and lined with material on the inside to make it softer...
