Try it !

I just wish you guys would make a triple black color scheme, all law enforcement would definitely invest with an all black boot.

Minimalist hiker, great for lightweight hunts

I purchased these boots just ahead of an early season bear hunt in Arkansas. I wanted something lightweight with just a little support. I have worn various Keens in the past, from Targhee IV to various Durand models, and these boots are definitely a different kind of experience. Same Keen comfort but less rigid than my previous models. I really enjoyed these boots as I hiked on and off trail in the Ozark National Forest. I was scrambling over boulders, trying to navigate up or down steep, rocky grades that were sometimes wet. I loved the traction these boots had in all kinds of conditions. If you are looking for something that will give you good grip with more "ground feel" than what a traditional, rigid hunting boot can provide, give these a try.

Not for harsh rocky terrain

I used these for the length of the JMT and by the completion, the left shoe sole near the toe had already started to fail. But it seemed that they had some life in them. After 80 miles on the AT in NJ and into NY, they utterly failed and I had to stop that hike midway through. 320 miles total. That's more what I expect from a trail runner. I would only recommend for hiking that does not include trails of this type.

Lightweight hiker with no break in

I purchased these to wear primarily for off trail hikes carrying a modest amount of weight. Over the course of a three day hunt in Arkansas' September heat, they did really well for me. They are lightweight and required no break in period. There is a modest amount of support. It's definitely not the most structural boot I've worn but I have also grown more interested in the natural movement of my foot and ankle rather than having everything locked down tight. I did a lot of scrambling over large boulders while carrying around 20 lbs. of gear and they provided me a secure grip in places I might have expected a firmer sole to slide a bit. I am really impressed with these boots!

Ok

Not as good as the last pair of zionic I had before. These just seem cheap. The shoelaces and eye hooks or whatever suck.
