Seacamp II CNX Water Friendly Sandal

I loved these sandals; good fit, lightweight and cute! Moreover I have an 18 month old who loves get dirty and splash in puddles so the main draw was that they were waterproof. But the first time they got wet on a visit to a local park, they bleed blue ink all over my son and me! I'm not sure if I got a bad pair, but wanted to give a fair warning to other moms!

This is our second summer ordering these shoes, my 2.5 year old loves them. They are easy to get on & off and durable. Last year’s pair ended up smelling terrible with just normal wear (we never have a smell problem with her other shoes) so hoping this pair doesn’t end up stinky.

I ordered the Seacamp and the Newport for my toddler. The Seacamp is lighter with little support and most likely suited for beach or pool as opposed to everyday wear. As opposed to the Newport (which I kept) that is very sturdy with excellent support. The Seacamp is extremely narrow and small in the toebox, I couldn't even get it on. If your toddler has chubby little feet like mine, you might not find this shoe a good fit. Both shoes run small and I had to size up.

Both the 20 month old (6 Walker) and the 9 Year old (5 Big Kid) started wearing them non-stop right out of the box. No issues, no rubbing and the toe box slightly tipping up removed the issue of tripping over the toe if they might be a smidgen long (the 9 year old had a previous pair I bought that had this issue).

One of the straps is too short and doesn't allow for much movement. It also leaves a mark on his foot because it's so tight. I think it's a defect and Nordstrom needs to report the issue to the vendor. It's unfair to pay $55 for a pair of shoes that doesn't work.
