Awesome Shoe
This is my ninth pair of black Austin shoes. If Keen quits making them, I may have to go barefoot. The leather portion is just about indestructible. You will wear down the sole long before they quit looking nice.

So stiff
I bought these shoes for a semi-business work-wear. Nothing fancy, but still looked professional. The shoes themselves look great, fit to size, but were very uncomfortable. I've only had them for about 3 months, but I'm unable to last a full day with them because they are so stiff. The biggest culprit is the rear-top of the shoe that fits around the top of the heel is extremely stiff and causes sores. I thought it would get better over time, but I think 3 months is plenty of time to break in a leather shoe.

Not the Keens I'm used to
These were narrower than I hoped for. The first thing I needed to do was replace the laces because they were about 5" too short. They'll do for a casual shoe.

way too stiff
many keen shoes have gotten much too stiff, both sole and upper. this is one of them. i have the waterproof version which they apparently dont make any more. i was able to use them a bit in the past to act as kind of an "immobilization boot" when i had a minor injury because they are so stiff. but trying them again yesterday for the first cold snap of the year. . . like strapping blocks to your feet. no way. maybe i'll be able to use them for shoveling snow for short periods of time only? not sure.

Good looking casual shoe just couldn't stand the t
These were my daily drivers. I would wear them pretty much it anywhere. I really wanted a casual shoe that could handle all seasons in Montana and Wyoming where I'm from. They definitely kept the moisture out of my shoe when it was wet. But after a couple of years the toe crease at the top of the shoe tore and I have a couple of holes in each shoe. The tread was truly not meant to withstand wet or wintry conditions as you're guaranteed to end up on your butt.

Great everyday shoe
This one of my favorite pair of Keen shoes. Good for my Plantar Fasciitis and fits good with orthotics. Great shoe for walking on concrete and marble floors for long periods of time.
