drop earrings

I bought these earrings to wear with a black gown at my sister's wedding because of the beautiful, deep, black color of the crystal. They are simple, chic, and make an elegant statement. Unfortunately, there were several scratches all over the gems. I looked at several pairs and noticed scratches on each pair. As the salesperson stated, it is pretty hard to find these stones without scratches unless they are protected behind the case and handled carefully. However, I still believe the stone should be of impeccable quality for the price, especially when it is possible to purchase an earring pair with a similar look without such damage for a fraction of the price.

so i originally bought these (the clear in silver) to wear in my friend's wedding (matron of honor). but in the end, my friend ended up wearing them! we swapped once we saw how perfect they went with her dress. they're simple, elegant and give off just enough bling to subtly sparkle in photos. they were just the accent she needed to top everything off. these earrings are large and meant to be a statement, but the simple shape makes them classic. they're perfect for parties and weddings. if i worked in a more business-y workplace, they might be appropriate there, but i don't so i won't. looking forward to wearing them at my husband's work holiday party!

I absolutely love these. They are simple and classic enough but the range of color gives any outfit a pop. I purchased these in turquoise/gold and I would say the image online is as accurate as it could be, however the turquoise might have a bit more vibrancy in person. They are made extremely well and with most of my cheaper jewelry, I notice that the gold starts to fade or even tarnish, however these I have had for a year now and they look brand new. Easy to clean. The closure snaps into place, and the backing doesn't bend to the side like other earrings I've had with this closed back design. Stone sits firmly in place and hasn't shifted yet. I will probably get more this season.
