Oil Free Moisturizer

I never write reviews, but this product is so great that I just had to share my thoughts on this one. I have extremely sensitive skin which is also acne-prone. I've had acne since puberty and have tried everything from drugstore brands, dermatologist prescriptions, to the most expensive high-end department store moisturizers around. This is the ONLY moisturizer that has ever worked for me; it provides light hydration WITHOUT causing any acne or eczema breakouts. This is truly my holy-grail moisturizer and would recommend this to everyone. My heart would break if Kate were to stop making this moisturizer or change the formula.

I love this moisturizer. I am celiac and extremely allergic to dairy so finding a moisturizer that was gluten and dairy free while being oil free was a challenge. However after calling customer service for Kate Somerville they assured me it would be safe for me to use. I have been using it every day since and my skin has never looked better.

This is a wonderful moisturizer, both my 15yo daughter and I use it. We both have very sensitive skin and my daughter is prone to breakouts. This is the only cream she can use that doesn't irritate her skin. Its also great for my "mature" skin at fighting wrinkles.

I have used this product for about 2 years now on the advice of a Nordstom cosmetic consultant. I was suffering from adult acne and had just come from a dermatologist that wanted to give me a hormonal type of oral medication. Since this worried me, I immediately went to Nordstrom to get another opinion. I also use Kate's acne spot treatment from time to time (it is excellent as well). After about 4 months, the acne was just about gone! I am so happy as those of you know, adult acne is painful and scarring. I am lucky to have this under control without the use of medications. Best moisturizer ever! For those of you with oily/dry peri-menopausal skin that changes with hormonal changes within the month, it just might be the ticket.

I came across Kate about 2 months ago and so far have loved every product I have tried. This oil free moisturizer especially. I have combination/acne-prone skin and I struggle with finding a moisturizer that works but doesn't make me shiny. (i tend to get shiny by afternoon). I used this moisturizer both am/pm and it works great. My skin was clearer and it was also not shiny at all by the afternoon (even on a warm So Cal day!).

Prior to my late twenties, I never had problem skin. However, hormones and age both have a way of catching up and I began to have acne prone and the most oiliest skin ever. Around 29-30, it became so bad that I did a round of accutane and have since been acne-free. Anyone that's taken accutane knows that it removes ALL traces of oil. That feeling is amazing when you have extremely oily skin. I would apply make up and literally be blotting before I finished applying. But with and after accutane, there is little to no oil and you have that fresh look all day. I've achieved that look with this product!! In short, I've learned that certain products promote oil while others help to minimize it. I did the accutane about 2 years ago and my oil never returned as it was before, but it did start to return. I missed that fresh look/glow that I had. I first went to Sephora and representative suggested this. I WILL NEVER USE ANYTHING ELSE!!! I use this on top of the Quench Hydrating Face Serum. My face is oil free ALL day. I do not have to blot my skin and my make up still looks flawless at the end of the day. It's the best combo ever. It may not work for everyone but it certainly works for me. Sometimes it takes trying different combinations of products. I was accidentally sold the Quench Oil Free Serum and I didn't know it was not the hydrating one until after I used it. My skin was sooooo oily using the oil free serum with this oil free lotion. I've learned that even with oily skin, your skin needs oil. I use Kate Somerville's Dilo Oil before bed and I use the Serum/Oil Free Lotion in the morning. My skin is beautiful as ever! Definitely a must try. It's just finding the right balance for your skin. Give it a shot! As long as she's selling it, I'll be buying it!
