Kani 4-in-1 Convertible Car Seat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This is the Kani 4 in 1. The materials are ultra soft like you would expect from Maxi Cosi. I bought the Maxi Cosi Pria 85 for my oldest child back in 2018, so this is a nice updated version we're using for my littlest addition. I love the slim design that fits my little sedan, even with another carseat in the back. It's roomy enough for them to use for years and years. One of my favorite parts of the carseat is the magnetic buckle closure. It takes a bit to get used to if you're not used to that kind of feature. I really can't say enough how soft the material is and it feels easy to clean. Another great feature is two cup holders, one we use for water and another we use for a cup of snacks. The crevaces in the carseat make it easy to vacuum out those said snacks. I love the black color which is sure to hide stains really well, unlike my other grey carseat. The buckle also feels very secure. The only drawback to this carseat that I can possibly see is that it's relatively heavy, but it's also feeling much sturdier than my other carseat. I'd feel comfortable bringing this on an airplane and have them handle it, unlike my other one from a different brand. The overall value is top notch right here. This is a carseat that is built to last for all ages. It goes without saying that the carseat manual is easy to read, so installation is a breeze, even for a first time parent. I am glad we have this!

This is a gorgeous car seat let me begin with that the smooth black with leather lining is so beautiful! I was a bit worried because the box says the seat is slim however it looked huge and I was wondering how this would fit in my Honda civic. I honestly dreaded thinking it would take up so much space. However with the easy seatbelt installation and recline the seat took up very minimal slack which is so important to me. Now where my review takes a turn is 1. I lost the instruction manual and could not find a maxi cosi verified manual video online. I am a visual leaner and I typically like to follow videos while I install and I found nothing but one video from a personal channel of a YouTuber. 2 I hate that I cannot figure out how to loosen up the straps. Most car seats have a huge button at the bottom to press but this one is so small and hard to find. It’s so difficult to loosen the straps which I do everytime I take my baby out of his car seat. My last issue with the car seat is that it is made of recycled plastic which is great but after doing much research on how micro plastics are affecting our bodies it worries me placing my baby on this seat long term. I still have a bit more to learn about the car seat but for now I will give it a solid 3 stars. My baby was pretty content after he got comfortable. I do also love the two cupholders in the front they will surely come in handy on long road trips !
