Josefina Floral Bustier Bodice Stretch Satin Body-Con Dress

I am about 138lb, 5'6", 36C/34D chest, 27" waist, 39" hips. I got a Medium. I am glad I did because it fit my chest and hips comfortably but it was big on my waist. This dress is beautiful and nicely made but being satin it has no stretch and does not hug your waist like on the model. I've bought a couple different dresses from House of CB and what I've noticed is they must have the dresses tailored to the models or they are doing some mean photoshopping. I say this because the models seem petite but curvy and as though everything hugs them perfectly. I am no model but I have an hourglass figure also which is why I was drawn to their items thinking they would suit me. They are good for curvy girls but you will likely still need to have their dresses tailored. I think when you are spending so much on an item the expectation is it should fit perfectly then, or at least hope. But I did keep this dress and liked it enough to get it tailored but just consider that when buying because although it may seem like a simple fix it adds about $60 to an already expensive dress. I have also tried a size small in another dress of theirs with a similar silhouette but although it might say it fits cup sizes from A/C that is not true if you are a larger C like I am, maybe for a 32C but otherwise the underwire will not be big enough.

I purchased this dress for my daughter to wear to her Senior Prom. She look stunning and the dress could not fit her any better. I did find it difficult to order this garment directly from the manufacturer. It was very easy to order it directly from Nordstrom’s in NYC. It was shipped very quickly. Very happy all the way around.

This one is my fault - I should have sized down. I usually wear a medium in house of cb (5’4 145) but sized up here to a large - don’t do it!! My real issue with this was the pattern - I guess this is personal preference but I thought it was SO ugly in person. The flowers reminded me of when you go to make a photo bigger in a word document and it gets blurry.
