Joliet II Sneaker

Extremely comfortable and stylish walking shoe. Bought a pair for a recent trip and walked nearly 15K steps a day - my feet never hurt, thanks to these well-made shoes. I wear a 7.5-8WW, so finding good-looking, high-quality shoes is tough. Munro shoes are excellent.

First let me say that Munro are the only shoes I wear, and Nordstrom's the only place I buy them from. I bought this shoe in 9.5 SS. When I put them on while sitting on the sofa they felt great, but that was before I walked in them. Within 2 minutes the mesh area above the toe bed had chafed my foot and left it red and irritated. The mesh on this shoe creates folds when you walk. Also, this being the most narrow size available, the heel portion was a bit loose.

I've been looking for supportive, stylish walking shoes for my European trip. I had these shoes twenty years ago, and they served me well on another trip. Munro changed everything about them. I tried multiple sizes and widths, and these shoes were disappointing. I have a narrow width, but the medium fits better. However the left front part of the shoe had a bent on the sole that bothered my walking. These shoes have no cushion on the midsole. Offering no buffer or comfort for walking. Too bad.

I wanted to buy a pair of these sneakers to add to my shoe collection since Munro is going out of business, so I got these. The length is true to size, but they are not a true WW as other Munro shoes. In fact, there is a lot of sizing inconsistency across all of Munro shoes. These are flexible but the soles are hard so I am wondering how much they will soften off as I use them. I am hoping the fabric upper will stretch and soften a bit with wear. I do plan to keep them because they have more good features than negative ones, but somehow, I think Munro sped up their end with some of their business decisions especially sending manufacturing overseas. One of my past employers did that and it's ended their reign. All very sad as I depended on Munro for years due to my feet issues and extended size. Thank you, Nordstrom, for carrying Munro all these years!

Shoes fit like a glove and have excellent support. And they look stylish on my long, narrow foot!

I am a 20+ years Munro customer. I have never struggled to find the right fit as I have in the last 2 years. I first bought these in 2006 and loved them. Something has changed. They are not as comfortable and the WW fits more like a W. These were returned.
