Amazing smell
I really enjoy nice candles and picked this one up yesterday. I usually purchase Diptyque brand and I must say this is so much nicer. It's black and very sophisticated looking and the burn was so even and the smell is very intoxicating and shall I say sexy! I know the price point is definitely on the higher end, but I promise you won't be disappointed with Jo Malone candles! At least this Intense fragrance is my new go to scent! I will definitely purchase more and this one again....my best trick to tell you is to trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn as it won't smoke or make to large a flame that way! Enjoy and don't hesitate to purchase!

tunneling terribly!
This candle tunneled terribly!! For a candle at this price point it should not do this. I let it burn for almost 2 hrs the first time, and used tented tin foil to try and correct it. Not sure if I got a dud or what, but very disappointing.

I absolutely love this scent. If you are used to other Jo Malone candles that are lighter you’ll be surprised with Velvet Rose & Oud. This candle has depth, richness and is very complex, intense and has the best throw! You only need to burn it for a short time for the scent to envelope your room. As a matter of fact, you may find the scent too strong for a small room like a bathroom so the 7oz jar will last you a long time. Not gonna lie, it hurts to replace it cost-wise but every time I want to treat myself, it’s out of stock. Again don’t expect lighter level of scent you get from other Jo Malone candles...this one is for you if you want something more sexy, more depth...just more!

Wouldn't buy anything else
Best candles ever - especially this one I buy it time and time again. If you light it even for half an hour the smell will film the room for hours
