Details & care
What it is: A beautifully crafted scent inspired by the thoroughly British tradition of High Tea.
Fragrance story: The mid-afternoon ritual is such a sought-after experience in London's most prestigious hotels, where Earl Grey tea is accompanied by petite, wafer-fine cucumber sandwiches. In this inventive and unconventional cologne, the top notes burst with bergamot, the same ingredient that gives Earl Grey tea its distinctive, fruity aroma. It's then that you discover the cool succulence of cucumber, vanilla and musk.
Notes:
- Top: bergamot.
- Middle: cucumber.
- Base: beeswax.
- 1 oz.

Summer Garden
Though the top note is bergamot, Earl Grey & Cucumber brings me to a summer vegetable garden, redolent with the sweet fragrance of surrounding flowers. I've finally found my favorite JM. I blend it with Wood Sage and Sea Salt For a delectable salad. Just a spritz of Bluebell helps emphasize the floral notes.

Disappointing
This is a beautiful scent....elegant and classy. Sadly there is no staying power whatsoever. Very disappointing.

not my kind of smell
I really liked the bright/fresh smell that you first smell the 1st 5-10 seconds. then that layer completely disappears and you're left with a powdery kind of heavy smell that's not my thing.
It kept reminding me of this traditional korean dish, and I didn't like the smell of it. I kept reminding myself that it was earl grey, and that helped me deal with it.
It reminded me of older women/mothers.
I'm more of a citrus/fresh/aquatic smell kind of person, so this was not for me.

Sweet yet warm
This scent is sweet, but not too sickingly dessert sweet like a lot of scents out there. It still manages to be soft and warm. I layer it with Red Roses, and I find that this scent definitely stays on much longer than the Red Roses. A little goes a long way with this scent.

Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber fragrance
Light and interesting. Spicy but still clean. Mixes well with Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom.

Smells amazing!
This scent is just perfect. It smells light, clean, and crisp. I've been searching for a "signature" scent and this is it. I really don't get the cucumber notes, which is fine.

Pair with another Jo Malone fragrance
I'm a longtime fan of Scent of Peace from Bond 9 but was encouraged to try Jo Malone at my local Nordstrom store. I purchased the Oud & Bergamot which is very interesting on it's own and I mixed it with each of the five samples I received. The only successful experiment was with the Earl Grey & Cucumber cologne.
Still a loyal Scent of Peace fan and ordered another bottle but the Jo Malone is a good alternative if I want to switch off now and then.
