What it is: A luxury candle that will transform the atmosphere with the scent of precious oud.
Fragrance story: The mysterious, smoky character of the revered oud wood, central to Middle Eastern fragrance traditions, radiates with the clarity of crisp bergamot and an orange granite accord. The scent opens with bergamot. This is the ingredient that gives Earl Grey tea its lively character, brightening with its sparkling, citrus freshness. Cedarwood defines the heart. Dry and intensely wood, it creates the brambly aspect in the base of the scent. Oud wood grounds the fragrance. Rich, resinous and dark with animalic accents, it mingles with the textural gourmand qualities of praline in the base, bringing intensity and depth to the fragrance.
Style: Woody.

Mood: Powerful, hypnotic, alluring.
How to use: Allow the wax to melt and pool right to the candle's edges the first time you light it, and don't blow it out until it has. When you first light the wick, you might see a little smoke. To ensure your candle stays pristine, snip the wick to 6mm before every burn.

Sultry and seductive
I love this candle. It has a wonderful fragrance that fills the room and create the perfect scented atmosphere for a relaxing romantic room. Love it and will buy many more. Worth every dime.

Never Again
Let me be clear. I love Jo Malone candles and buy them all the time, from Basil & Neroli to Wild Fig & Cassis. The Oud & Bergamot candle caught my attention because I love woodsy/smoky notes and pretty much anything Bergamot. Having never purchased a black Jo Malone candle in the past, I googled my little heart out trying to determine the difference between black and clear glass candles, as the burn time is shorter and the price higher for black glass candles like this. I literally couldn’t find an answer anywhere. I suppose I could’ve called one of the stores, but since I love her candles so much I took a chance. Huge mistake.
Immediately upon opening the lid I was punched in the face by a strong male cologne scent. All of the candles are derived from her different colognes. Sadly, this one is like that boyfriend who never really had good taste or style and sprayed his entire body with cologne. Cough. Gag. Choke. I gave the candle a fair chance, hoping that the other notes would provide balance. After two dreadful hours I put the lid back on. A couple of friends dropped by as this was burning and remarked how taken aback they were by the dreadful stench- and even more shocked that their candle-loving guru would purchase such a monstrosity. Never again. SAVE YOURSELF!

Big disappointment
I love this perfume but the candle is a big disappointment. The candle scent is not just bad but rather offensive. It smells like cheap cologne.

Dissapointing
I bought this candle for my new appartement. Lovely service and presentation in the shop. I love the scent but unfortunately you can barely smell it. I have burned the candle for a few hours several times. I am so so dissapointed, especially that these candles are expensive. Would not recommend this one.
