Distinct and inventive fragrance.
If you wish to be remembered, this is the fragrance to wear. I first tried it years ago, and I seem always to come back to this as the main scent that I wear. I love the fact that it leaves an impression, but does not overwhelm, my only criticism is that it also does not last very long. It has been described by people who stood downwind of me and have used adjectives such as alluring, inventive, and distinct - Jo Malone's Basil Lime and Manderine has come with me into some of the most wonderful moments of my life!

Yuck.
If I could give this a zero, I would. It is such a disgusting scent that I had to shower to take it off. I received it as a sample from Nordstrom and usually like most fragrances. This was repulsive in my opinion. It was a very masculine scent and even if it were a men's fragrance, it was still the most horrible scent I think I have ever tried! Try this one in the store and don't be tricked by the wonderful sounding name!

Wondeful for a Man or Woman
I bought this for my husband. I originally visited the Jo Malone counter at Nordstrom to purchase a new scent for myself. I was convinced I wanted Lime Basil and Mandarin for myself, but the associate warned me that it was a bit masculine. It smelled that way on me. While I bought Wisteria and Violet for myself, the associate gave me a sample of the Lime Basil to try on my husband. It smells great on him and is his go to scent. He loves how it is not heavy but lasts throughout the date. As I side note, I recently learned that a good girlfriend of mine wears Lime Basil and Mandarin, and her perfume always smells great. It really does depend on your body, but I would recommend Jo Malone products overall because the scents are diverse and long-lasting.

Pricey but worth it
As a guy, I struggle to find a scent that's not too common, but also still "manly" enough.
I found it with Jo Malone's Lime Basil & Mandarin. The scent is well balanced, not too sweet, not too spicy....it's one of those that just light enough and so well balanced that you'll feel great wearing it and likely receive ample compliments.
It's especially suitable for hotter/more humid climates.

My forever fragrance
I have been wearing this since December 2004, since I read this amazing article about Jo Malone in that month's Vanity Fair. I layer it sometimes with other Jo Malone fragrances: English Pear & Freesia, Wood Sage & Sea Salt, and Grapefruit (sometimes I wear these ones alone, too). The scent profile actually changes depending on which you spray first. It is simply the best fragrance ever and I am constantly told by my husband and friends how good I smell. It lasts all day and well into the night. Love it!
