Grapefruit Cologne

I bought this without trying it first. It was suggested in a Glamour Magazine article. I had hoped it would have a wonderful clean fragrance like citrus as the name suggests. It was no where near a citrus smell. It was not refreshing as I had hoped. It was a heavy perfume smell that lingered on for the whole day even after trying to wash it off. It may appeal to some but not to those who want a light fragrance.

I was hoping for a bright, sparkling, citrusy grapefruit scent with this, but it has an assertive musky undertone to my nose (at least, when I wear it– maybe not so much on others?) and it's very masculine. I disliked it so much that I showered just to remove the smell. I returned Grapefruit and have opted for Nectarine Blossom which has more of the crisp brightness I was looking for. I also have been experimenting with Jo's Bluebell, which has a sweet, earthy fresh cut grass smell to me. I find both of these optional scents more feminine and bright than the Grapefruit.
