English Pear & Freesia Cologne

Perfume was beautiful... customer service, not so much. I'm a stage IV cancer patient and I used to have a lot of extra cash to spend on myself. I used to shop here often. I haven't worked in a year and my 14'year old daughter convinced me to treat myself. I can only use clean products, so I was happy to find the Jo Malone. She tried to upsell me and extra $100 after I was spending over $90. When I said no thank you, just the one bottle, she changed her whole tune. I understand you work on commission, but she slammed my perfume around and I had to ask her to put it in a bag. She really treated me horrible. I wanted to take it back because she made me feel rotten about treating myself to something. My daughter was shocked. People are shallow. Sad.

This is the first time I received a brand new perfume without a box! Just wrapped the perfume bottle with the black paper! And when I place the order I added gift messages, people who pack this should know that it’s a gift for someone else. How can you pack like that in a so disrespectful way??? Totally waste my time! I have to go to somewhere else to purchase another gift.

I love a good fragrance as much as the next girl... Okay maybe more than most girls. And i find Jo Malone's fragrance combinations clever and deliciously interesting. I smelled this in the little stick thingy at the store and fell in love. I wanted to bathe in this stuff, slather myself in a vat of it then eat it for dinner. So i went for the large bottle. I find the small ones a poor value. However the magic has since died for me as this fragrance is way too watered down and fleeting considering its cost. To me it wears more like a bath splash product a la the spritzes you find at bath product stores. It certainly does not wear like a perfume, at least not on me. In this price range, i need a perfume to wear like a perfume. I need the wonderfulness of this frangrance front and center. I need to feel like I have to be careful with the spritzing not feel like i need to shower in it just to smell it for 10 short minutes. I have bought eau de toilette fragrances from Chanel, Hermes, and Cartier that manage to be light but present. This one fails at this miserably. Unfortunately, as wonderful as this scent is i will be returning it. I probably wont buy another one unless they come up with stronger concentrations of the more popular fragrances. Dont like the intense options right now. Too bad. This could have been a hg fragrance.

I've been looking for my signature scent for SO long. I've tried Chloe, Aqua Di Gio, Si, dolce and gabana, Fresh Brown Sugar, and too many others. The first time I smelled this it reminded me of D&G light blue, which turned me off- I find D&G to be so common and kind of chemically. However, after taking a sample home and wearing it around, I've fallen in love. You know how they say when you fall in love you just know? Well that's how I feel with finding my signature scent! It's sweet but subtle, fresh and soft. I bought the bath oil to layer and I'm seriously considering the lotion! Oh and I'm a 24 year old girl with a crazy picky nose (I believe I could be Le Nez in France!)

I ordered this on line without trying any samples and was glad I did. I can easily say it is my favorite JM scent so far. It starts sweet then develops into a warm, spicy and exotic feminine scent that lingers all day. I don't need to pair this with any other JM scent, it is wonderful on it's own and perfect for fall and winter.
