Illusion Yoke Lace Sheath Dress

This was the 1st time I have ever ordered a dress on-line. I followed the directions and all the tips from the Nordstroms Web-Site and the dress fits perfectly and it is made lovely.

This dress is made of the most beautiful, thick, cream lace and I would have loved to keep it, but the sizing is a problem. My usual 10 was super skinny--l(ooked great but would never be able to sit down!). so I ordered a 12 and it was almost identical--still too tight, but now strangely fitting in the bustline. There is a version with sleeves I also tried, but alas it had the same problems. I finally had to give up on it. If you're slim, I think you could pull it off, if you have moderate curves, you should pass on it, it'll just break your heart.

This is a really lovely and well made dress by Jill Jill Stuart. The lace is not thin or flimsy. The comments that previous reviewers made regarding the lining being too thin/see thru seems to have been remedied, as the one I received had a thicker satiny lining that was not sheer at all. The dress is most definitely at least one size too small. Based on my True Fit Size, Nordstrom recommended a 4 for me. I ordered a 6, and I am re-ordering an 8 because the 6 is still too snug! The lace is cottony and does not give or stretch one iota. But it's still beautiful, which is why I'm reordering!

I tried this on as a wedding dress. The lace on this dress is very nice and the fit is flattering. It runs a bit tight in the chest if you are bigger chested and a little wide in the hips. I am 5'3" so the dress hits below the knee.

Beautiful Dress. It was a full size to small. But I liked it so much that I'll likely return it for the larger size.

Love this dress! I will wear this dress to a wedding. It's slim fitting and looks very classy. The lace makes the dress look young and sophisticated.
